We went to Lokál Dlouhááá for dinner, and I would recommend reserving a table because we tried to walk in yesterday and couldn't get one, and people walking in had to wait about 40 mins as well. We had the beef dish, chicken with mushroom sauce and chicken, and pork schnitzel. I had the pork schnitzel, and while it was quite good, I felt like it needed a bit more seasoning, though maybe it was just me expecting something much more flavourful than what I got (I'm a tourist on holiday so maybe my preferences and what I think is good may not be what is the most traditional and correct tasting in terms of Czech food). The potato salad that came with it was very good, though my friend didn't like it as it was served cold but I don't mind it. The portion size was great, and we were definitely full after it. The beef dish was good, the beef was tender, and the bread dumplings were nice, though comparing it with my other experience at Pekny, I preferred the ones there (again I'm not a local so don't trust my word on what I think is better because maybe this is more authentic). though the cranberry sauce was overly sweet and tasted like whipped cream with cranberry sauce. We also ordered the raspberry beer lemonade, which was nice and wasn't too bitter or sweet. The atmosphere was decent, not much fancy decoration, and it was pretty much a big hall. The waiters were nice and allowed us to split the bill, which is kind of them. Overall, it was a good experience, not 5 star worthy...

I went with two friends, and we were told 30 minutes but got in after 15, which was nice. Our food was good- we particularly enjoyed the fried cheese and potatoes (which could be refilled upon request) and the profiteroles for dessert.
What spoiled our dinner was our waiter. He was short at first, not speaking a lot and motioning to things like our menus to indicate that he wanted them back. That is fine- it was quite busy there, and we don’t demand special attention. However, he left for about 30 minutes, so we asked someone else to call him over. He made it seem like it was a burden to order dessert by sighing out loud when we asked. Further, at the end he asked if we were together or separate, and we said separate. He rolled his eyes, sighed again, and lost his patience, creating so much tension at the table when he told us to hurry and tell him what we got.
Hey man, if you don’t want to split the check, don’t provide it as an option. We understand. He selected from the card reader what we had ordered earlier. It took maybe a minute longer than it would’ve otherwise. So, if you go, I would try not to get our waiter (shoulder-length black hair with tattoos on hands and arms), as the rest of the staff was lovely
I am not sure what we did, because we were quite quiet and respectful, and we had been recommended this restaurant by a Czech friend of ours, so we were...
Read moreHonestly disappointed in my experience here. I was excited to visit after seeing great reviews, and it also being recommended in my Local Let’s Go Europe book. To eat, I got the Talián Sausage for a starter, the fried cheese dish for my main course, and the biscuit for dessert. I also got one of the beers recommended by the waitress. The appetizer was okay, nothing fancy (just sausage with Dijon mustard, some horseradish on the side that was decent). My sausage was pink on the inside, but I’m not sure if that’s due to the cut of meat I got or it being undercooked. The fried cheese dish was decent, but instead of “fried potatoes” as the menu described, their texture was more like a baked potato. Overall though the main dish was decent, simple but it could’ve been better. The dessert was, unfortunately, a disappointment. I did try to get the profiterole, but they were out, so I got the biscuit dish instead. Imagine a meringue cookie that had whipped cream dumped on it; that was my dessert. The beer however was pretty good, probably the star of the meal.
Overall, If you want a reasonably priced meal with quick service, you can go here, but you’re probably better off finding a different restaurant. There was a waiting list, and I don’t think it justifies going here when taking the quality of food in mind. I do appreciate the enthusiasm and kindness of the...
