How did I learn about this place? While shortly living in the same building. How exactly? From poor ventilation and the whole neighborhood smelling like food, from parties lasting way past assigned pandemic curfew for public eateries, and by rowdy patrons continuing to party in the inner court of the building once the pub finally called it a night. Why do I even bother reviewing it? Whoever runs this place is trying to make a proper North American-style brewpub out of it, and I admire such efforts. The place is pretty small, containing two seating areas. Yet it is perfect for this kind of establishment. The main problem here is air ventilation. The kitchen is basically a flat cooking surface right behind the bar, so it is an open kitchen, if you can even call it that. There is an exhaust hood above it, but it's not working correctly. The whole place is filled with smoke and the overwhelming scent of fried food. It is sickening and unacceptable. They have a few beers on tap and several fridges with bottled and canned craft brews. I tried hazy IPA available on tap, and it wasn't great, so I chose to roll the dice and try some of the Russian canned craft brews I haven't tasted yet. Plus, they use an odd double glass pouring system to remove an excessive amount of foam, which is quite funny. It also feels like they are still experimenting with the food menu. Buffalo chicken wings have nothing to do with actual Buffalo wings and literally swimming in a pool of sauce. I've never seen that before. That is enough for me not to investigate any further. But you know what? This place has a vibe of some West Coast breweries 10+ years ago when they were just starting. They, of course, brewed their own beer and stood behind the product. Nevertheless, it brings that nostalgic mood. I really hope that people running this place will strive for excellence and fix all the shortcomings they currently have and eventually become one of the pioneers of the Almaty craft beer scene. Пил как в настоящей (4.0) так и в прошых инкарнациях Напитков. Отзыв актуален на январь 2023. Даже не знаю с чего начать, пожалуй с локации. С одной стороны это центр города, неплохой район, но подвал с барами находится в глубине квартала, так что случайно туда вы вряд ли забредёте. Интерьер абсолютно обычный и безликий, ничего запоминающегося, но и ничего плохого сказать не могу. Выбор пива мне в целом не понравился, на кранах пара средних позиций, ненавистная волковская пивоварня и, имхо, очень невкусная сигма. В холодильниках как и во всех подобных барах есть постоянно меняющийся ассортимент крафта и каких-то распространенных напитков. И все бы ничего, но во-первых тут дорого. За что тут так дорого я вообще не понимаю, обслуживания тут нет, каких-то очевидных плюсов или особенностей, которые можно выделить тоже. Во-вторых это атмосфера. По формату это что-то вроде спик изи, но по факту это бар в основном для своих. Основная масса посетителей так или иначе знакома друг с другом, поэтому на незнакомцев тут вообще не обращают внимания. С одной стороны может это и хорошо, а с другой зачем вообще тогда сюда идти? Также бывало такое, что за большим столом сидят 1-2 человека, ты спрашиваешь, можно ли присесть, а тебе отвечают, что "Стол занят, остальные скоро приедут", и это как-то не вяжется с форматом заведения.
