Big Apple Café has quickly become one of my favorite finds in Astana’s business and government district. Conveniently located on Dostyk Street, just blocks away from Keruen Mall — home to high-end brands like Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors — this café blends comfort with a refined atmosphere that perfectly matches the area’s impressive architecture.
During our visit, we were treated with excellent service by our waiter, Almasbek, who was professional, polite, and very attentive throughout our experience.
The highlight of our order was the Indian Peanut Raf — a drink that beautifully combined the richness of hot cocoa and coffee in one smooth, silky blend. The peanut flavor added a unique depth, complemented by the subtle notes of Brazilian coffee beans, and finished with a delightful crunch from almond pieces on top. It’s a must-try beverage that showcases creativity and balance.
We also indulged in their tiramisu bowl, which was a pleasant surprise. The creamy texture paired wonderfully with the cookie base, dusted with cacao, resulting in a dessert that was both rich and satisfying without being overwhelming.
Overall, Big Apple Café offers an excellent menu of beverages, desserts, and dishes, making it a perfect stop whether you’re here for business, shopping nearby, or simply exploring the city. With its combination of great flavors, professional service, and a setting that reflects the elegance of the district, this café is truly...
Read moreIt’s not a great place if you’re a foodie. First, they didn’t serve us water to start off. I got rigatoni with burrata cheese and basil. The pasta was undercooked i.e., the consistency was far from al dente (too hard and it got stuck in my teeth). Burrata cheese had disintegrated by the time the dish was served, and cream leaked into tomato sauce. My friend got cottage cheese pancakes but never finished them. That being said, the interior design and overall vibe is ok for a middle end coffee shop. I wouldn’t recommend this place as there are other restaurants and cafes with similar food options and...
