We have just got back from a truly fantastic week at Neptune Palm Boutique. We have stayed at many hotels along Diani beach and this is up there with the very best.
From experience, the tone is usually set from the top at these places, and it’s a credit to the management team, as your staff are what make this hotel what it is.
We were travelling with a young baby and they were all so friendly and very accommodating to make sure we had a comfortable stay.
The facilities are everything you need - big warm pool, a couple of bars, sunbeds and of course the gorgeous white sands and warm waters of the sea.
A wide selection of food that was different everyday - with live stations. The quality of the food was also one of the best we have had in Diani.
A special shout out the staff that made a big effort for us - Brian, Phillip, Teresia, Felix, Geoffrey and Stanley for keeping us well “hydrated”. Sheila, Helen, Thomas, Irene, Patrick and Samira for the hosting and food and lastly Jackson for keeping us well protected from the monkeys and helping us with the pram everyday! Also I’m sure I’ve missed out many others so apologises but you were all great.
We will defo be...
Read moreIf you are going to stay at this hotel, be very careful!! Take pictures of everything in the room when you check in! Or get the checklist they use when they clean the room and check it in front of them. Otherwise, you will end up paying a ridiculous fee when you check out like me!! Let me tell you why… I am a Korean woman in my 50s! I lived in Kenya for over 25 years and currently live in Paris. To celebrate my parents‘ 50th wedding anniversary, all my relatives came from the US and UK and stayed at this hotel from July 15th to 19th.
As our flight to Nairobi was delayed, we checked out first and spent some time at the beach when they informed us that the coasters in the room my sister and I had stayed in were missing. We tried to open our bags to check them but they turned their faces away and refused to check them, simply wanting us to pay for the coasters.
What's even more shocking is that the person who first told me that the coaster was missing in room 726 was not me, but my other family members! So I was embarrassed in front of my 15 family members. Is this a new type of Racism? What do you think? Anyway, be careful when booking this hotel and...
Read moreWas told this hotel had a 5 star rating... We were told this was a wheelchair friendly and accessible hotel. It most definitely was not! The first hurdle was the steps at reception and the staff were not prepared to help my mother all that much, it was only after we had a firm word with them. The level of service and the quality of the food we experienced on our 4 day stay was less that 4 stars. The only good things were the beautiful beach which didn't have many people trying to sell you things so you can actually walk in peace and the empty pool! It seems that all the experienced staff that were interested in their guests were at the lower rate hotel which is the sister hotel to this... I was on the all inclusive part and was once told by a bar tender that the beer that he was pouring wasn't part of the all inclusive deal... Information which should have been given to me before he poured and said it was 400 ksh... Not acceptable behaviour! A few of the staff went above and beyond which was much appreciatead! Most of those satff were the more experienced staff. The Indian food at the other side of the hotel was...
