So, I’m on a boda cruising through the city, trying to get to town in the fastest way possible, then the boda guy gets onto lenana road and at the periphery of my eye, I see beauty, whimsical beauty, it’s the warm tinge of the string lights dotted in this small cafĂ©. I call my friend Brenda and we book our calendars. Months later, here we are😊 It’s location is in the cosy, plush sides of Kilimani, right next to a carwash, so you can pick-and-go your coffee-and-bagel or sandwich/burger for that matter. Coffee lovers would find heaven here as that’s the specialty,(with their own grown coffee beans) We had flavoured iced coffee, (hazelnut & vanilla) & (caramel & gingerbread) which was a delight to the palate. The burgers/sandwiches are so good, honestly. Well done, I literally have no descriptors for the food experience. The customer service was amazing. They all had edgy looks, and ugh, it fit the whole aesthetic! The wall art, the playlist on the stereo, choice of homeware. My heart was soaring! 10/10 would recommend. It’s accessible via car/on foot/ on a bodaboda. It’s literally a stonethrow distance from yaya centre. I don’t think there are matatus on that road. On the prices, it’s on the higher end/than your average cafĂ© at least. I’ve also included...

Sooo much choice of coffee prep! V60, chemex, room temp drip brew through a fancy glass piping setup, fridge metal filtered cold brew, and what I tried today: siphon brew! Also with your choice of medium or dark roasted beans roasted on site.

I couldn't resist the Siphon brew, with medium roast beans. While I'm more adept at tasting espressos, the siphon brew was definitely an improvement over my own attempts at V60 or french press- more clarity, great flavor. The tangerine citrus notes rang out nicely as it cooled.

The chicken club sandwich was generous, tasty, and well prepared as well. It was a kind of chicken salad like approach, a nice twist!

Service was great, they gave me a full tour of the different brewing and roasting stations. Pricing seems reasonable, though the current favorable exchange rate helps.

Sadly, no beans to buy, only well prepared beverages - still, not to be missed simply for the elaborate choice around preparation.

Definitely good...

So I popped into the carwash on my way home after work and when I asked the attendants where I could chill while I waited, they pointed me to Coffee and Bagels. I head over, the waiter brings the menu — all coffee . I ask if there’s anything else, maybe tea or something? She says no. I tell her I don’t take coffee past 2PM, but I’ll definitely come try it another time. A little later, she comes back and I ask for a water. She tells me they don’t sell water alone. I’d have to buy coffee or something else. Apparently, the management doesn’t allow it — so I was told I had to leave. The place was literally empty — just a few people — but somehow, me sitting there quietly waiting for my car to be done was an issue.

I was honestly shocked. I was polite, not taking up anyone’s space, and even planning to come back another time. But after that? No thanks. That was so rude and...

Coffee coffee and coffee ☕ I would recommend this place for coffee lovers like me. With no coffee machine, you’ll experience different types of making your cup of coffee. Whether you want it hot or iced, they have it. The service is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The guy behind the counter knows his coffee- he explained well how things work and which brew could give what type of taste. And yes, you can ask for a sample as well 😜. It can be a bit expensive but it was worth it.

Came for the bagels but was disappointed. There are lots of options, which makes it feel like there's something for everyone, but the taste was underwhelming. The coffee wasn’t great either—plenty of choices, but they’re all black coffees. No cappuccino or other espresso-based options. The place itself is nicely designed, but it's located right next to a busy car wash. Great spot if you're getting your car cleaned, but otherwise, the noise can be a bit much.
