It’s a nice cafe, I appreciate that there are gluten free options but keep in mind it’s very expensive. I understand that products used are high quality but I’ve been to other places that also use good quality products and are no where near as pricey. I however didn’t mind the expense so much, what really bothered me was that I ordered a brownie (along with a bunch of other stuff), the brownie comes with ice cream but it was cold and first thing in the morning. I asked if the ice cream could be replaced with anything else like cream or fruit and the answer was no. So I asked if it could at least be a bit cheaper as it cost 700 and ice cream is listed as 250 alone for 1 scoop. The answer was still no. So I figured if they’re charging that much it must be a decent size…. It was tiny. Even back home in Australia a brownie could never cost that much at that size, so I was pretty disappointed. This was a big point for me because usually when I go to nice cafes and don’t want something, they are always happy to replace it with something else or decrease the price a bit. I think this is an improvement for this cafe to consider, as it really makes the experience nicer for customers. Other than that, gluten free pizza was good, coffee was average but service was good and...

When we got here and learned that they only hire deaf waiters and waitresses, I thought it was impressive. Our waitress was really kind and helpful in teaching us some gestures in sign language and communication was one interesting aspect. My only problem came in when I ordered pasta with praws, and I think the prawns had not been preserved well. When the food got to our table, I was immediately hit by the stench and flies surrounded my food. I informed the waitress and the staff suggested that I order something else and wouldn't be charged for the stinking food. I just wondered why such food would be prepared and served to me in that state. Because, immediately the food was taken away, the smell and flies went away. Anyway, while being very skeptical, I reordered something else, this time, stirfry and I'll commend the staff for checking in with me to ensure that everything with this new order was okay and that I was fine. The incident with the horrible pasta gave me a terrible first time impression but at least they salvaged the situation. I'd just suggest to Pallet Cafe to preserve their food, especially seafood well since it is...

Pallet Cafe is a compound full of evergreens. It is such a serene place, with art that keeps you staring. It has a chilled African setup with chilled music, and good food. They have an affordable list of cuisines and drinks, something that can favor someone on a budget. You can literally take photos anywhere on the compound, for the photo lovers who are looking for vibesšŸ”„. Did I also mention that the establishment is deaf-friendly! The waiters and most of the staff are deaf, this is a good way to show kindness to those who can’t hear, and at the same time, you can learn some sign language, which I think is pretty thoughtful. The place is also suitable for work setups for a larger group. Purpose to check out the place, it is good for meetings, reading, meeting up with friends, and of course, events....

The Pallet Cafe Nairobi is a truly inclusive dining experience that goes beyond just great food and ambiance. What sets this cafe apart is its commitment to diversity and accessibility, evident in its staff of deaf individuals who communicate seamlessly with customers using sign language boards. This innovative approach not only fosters a welcoming environment for the deaf community but also promotes greater understanding and appreciation for sign language among all patrons. Beyond its commendable inclusivity, The Pallet Cafe delights with its delicious menu offerings and cozy atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking not only a memorable culinary experience but also a chance to support and celebrate diversity in Nairobi's vibrant dining scene.

Iykyk where it is. Well, it is on Google Maps, but if you're just going across the street you wouldn't even know this place existed. But once you do, you really can't unsee it. This place is an absolute haven all the midst of the chaos outside. Sitting down here really made me well and truly content with life, to the point that I contemplated a life in Nairobi. That's how good it was. The place is run by all deaf employees and there are helpful sign language which help you to communicate with them. It really is a whole different place. The cappuccino I ordered was a bit too milky for me, but I have no hesitations in giving the place five stars just for existing. Come here when the weather is good though. Probably a different story when it rains.
