I recently visited here for breakfast and while the service left a positive impression, I found myself less than enthused by a particular element of my meal.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with friendly service that set a welcoming tone for my morning. Eagerly, I placed an order for the classic French toast, a dish that typically arrives with a side of assorted fruits. To complement my meal, I ordered my go-to single vanilla latte, a choice that rarely disappoints.
However, my excitement waned when the fruit side was presented alongside the French toast. The assortment included sweet melon, pineapple, green apple, banana, and watermelon. Unfortunately, my disappointment stemmed from the fact that the fruits didn't live up to the expected standard.
The selection itself was promising – a medley of fruits that, when fresh and flavorful, could have beautifully balanced the meal. Regrettably, the execution was lacking. The sweet melon and pineapple, which are usually bursting with succulent sweetness, seemed lackluster in flavor. The green apple and banana lacked the vibrancy and crispness that indicate freshness. Even the watermelon, a typically refreshing choice, seemed somewhat lackadaisical.
The lack of taste and apparent freshness in the fruit selection was a letdown, as it compromised the harmony of the dish. While the French toast itself was satisfactory and my single vanilla latte was a comforting delight, the subdued fruit side left a noticeable void in the overall experience.
Despite this, I must commend their attentive service. The staff's warm and accommodating demeanor contributed positively to the ambiance, and I genuinely appreciated their efforts to make my visit pleasant.
In summary, my breakfast experience here was a mix of positive and less satisfying aspects. The amiable service and well-prepared vanilla latte were highlights, yet the lack of taste and freshness in the fruit assortment alongside the French toast dampened the overall enjoyment. I offer this review constructively, hoping that they consider refining their fruit offerings to match the high standard set by...
Read moreI've been here twice. There are nice comfy seats and free WiFi for customers. The place is gorgeous to be honest, from the chalk art on the walls to the high ceiling, open space layout of the place. You can actually sit at the serving counter sort of like in a pub. It's just one of the many spaces. Carry a jacket if it's cold. Now let's talk food. The meals took an avg. of 7mins from ordering to being served. I've only had breakfast, twice, and boy was it delicious. English breakfast if I remember correctly and a mocha on the side. Tasty sausages, went well with the salad that had passion juice undertones. You can have the egg done as an omelette as I did and the glass plate the meal comes on will make you shy off. Butter, marmalade, guac on the side and some slices of bread. Large selection of breads and cakes. Tipped the waitress and went on my way burping that passion juice undertone thinking about how the place buzzes with life....
Read moreArt Cafe Lavington Mall 2nd time going there. My first experience was amazing! Served by Pablo.
2nd time? Terrible. I felt profiled racially. I walked in took my seat, no one came to attend to me.
Two other people walk in and seat next to me, and the waiter jumps to their service.
No one comes to attend to me. I call the waiter and his excuse was “she called me first”
Well i didn’t see that, but were you not to attend to me since you all were standing in a group?
Need i mention that i jept raising my hand up to get the waiters attention to no avail. Seemed i was invicible.
I had my double capuccino and pancakes+fruits unconfortably and left the venue asap.
I have visited so many art cafe branches, but this by far was my worst experience....
