Ballkan Taverna — Restaurant in Pristina

It's a place on the upper street, and was crowded at the time. The decor is very nice. I sat down on a Wednesday around 4:00 PM and ordered a grilled burger from the menu. When I ordered, I was warned by the waiters that they didn't have everything on the menu. I expected my order to be complete, but the fries, one of the side dishes that came with the burger, were missing from the pan. When I asked the waiter, he said they were out of fries today, but they were brought to the table on a plate. When I asked him how he would feel if I told him after eating that I wanted to pay 3.30 Euros for the burger instead of 4 Euros, he just said, "I'm sorry." It's a nice place, with passable service. Location is everything, and thats what they got. Great placement, but the waiters are ignoring you almost every time, the service is mediocre, only tourists eat here, never seen a Prishtina person actually eat here, so we all come for drinks. This is located in a place called “Kafet e Rakisë” which means the alchool coffee, so now tell me… HOW ARE THERE NO COFFEE AT 12PM? Insane. Ballkan Taverna is a recent tavern-style authentic bar next to the main square in Prishtina (near Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports).

It is situated in a perfect place, has a great service and a perfectly-designed interior you would want to enjoy with your friends or partner.

However, unfortunately with the open-style single area, they do not forbid smoking, so make sure you can handle it.
