Fish market towers — Restaurant in Dasman

I am here to share an underwhelming experience I had at this overrated place this evening!!

This is my first review of restaurant even though I am an avid foodie as this was not an experience I have expected from of this grandeur. Now talking about my experience, me and my family visited this evening to have a lovely dinner with great service where we were denied the luxury of both. Though they had huge dine in area, it was scarcely occupied and was precariously understaffed. After getting seated ourselves, we went for a recommended dish by the waiter which was exuberantly priced. After waiting for half an hour, received a fish fillet plated pathetically (sprig of parsley) and tasted nothing great as it was scarcely marinated. In the name of lemon garlic sauce, we literally had to squeeze a ton of lemon to bring in some taste. However, while having the food the waiter came and offered a dessert and then disappeared for ever. We were asked to wait almost another 40 minutes just to be told that the guy just left the restaurant!!! On asking if they had a manager around, no one was even sure, if they had a manager. Ufff

Kindly have sufficient trained staff and managers around if you still value your customers and please don't take us...

Visited the restaurant two days ago for a lunch with the family. Absolutely one of the worst food experiences in my life. Let me explain. First off, most of the food contains MSG (Chinese salt and magic sarap; nasty) that being said we had asked that the food is prepared without it (this was alarming as fresh seafood does not need flavor enhancers) so much so that their flour breading also contained msg.

What we ordered: 1-French fries- great taste crisp, restaurant cut and fresh.

2-Baba Ghanoush- delicious. Take is good

3- tahini- flavorless super bland straight from the can with little effort.

4-muscles in lemon butter sauce- the sauce was mediocre but the muscles were terrible. They tasted like the freezer which is unacceptable considering it’s a seafood place

5-grilled shrimp- not a whole lot of taste but fresh shrimp

6-zubaidi- the first one that came out looked like it was butchered (flesh frayed looked like it was mangled as he was cutting. They blamed the lack of bread crumbs.

7- Grilled red snapper: no comment tastes fine but nothing amazing.

I will never visit this restaurant again. Let me emphasize that the service was terrible. We did not have an attendant assigned to our table, and we had 3 servers attend us. All three ignored my request for bread when we were served Hummus. That is just ridiculous and Illustrates inept service. Furthermore, one of the servers was quite rude and short with us. The food was mediocre at best, and the rice seemed to be just microwaved. The bread that arrived later was lukewarm and neither hot nor fresh. The whole ordeal cost us $241 CAD or 54 KD. For what?
