The food here is good and you'd enjoy it a lot if you are a fan of Japanese food. We ordered soup, maki rolls, negimiyaki, vegetable udon noodles, crispy tempura tacos and the spicy crabstick avocado salmon salad.
I haven't been to Maki since I was a child and I can definitely tell that their food changed. The salad seemed to lack a certain flavor that I remember from my childhood however it is still very good!
The rolls were amazing and have such beautiful plating presentations. They tasted fresh and the flavors all blended well together. The negimiyaki is exactly how I remember it - tender meat with a sweet and salty sauce.
The miso soup was very good too, it was very rich and felt great in this cold weather.
The taco was decent, it could have used some more flavor in my opinion.
The service and staff were extremely friendly and were so eager and happy to help us with our order.

This restaurant is expensive. But the food is great with generous proportions. My favorite is the Volcano Maki. The first time I ate it at Burj Jassim, the volcano was bigger and substantial. About 4 years later, the volcano has shrunk. I am quite disappointed with the consistency. The rice roll before was smaller than the volcano and the volcano was quite steep. But now, it seems like the volcano has erupted and all that is left is a flat volcano. The rice roll overwhelms the teeny tiny volcano on top of it.
I would still eat at Maki in the future but the situation would be something like I am very hungry and I am...
Read moreI recently visited Maki Restaurant in Kuwait, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes that were fresh and full of flavor. The presentation of each dish was also beautifully done, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Maki for anyone looking for a fantastic dining...
