𝐋𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐀 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

If I could give this ‘establishment’ lower than one star, I would.

Our experience here was disgusting to say the very least. We arrived to La Brava, Lloret de Mar, at 20:00. We placed our order of the following, one cheeseburger (single) and the meat ‘well done’, and chicken sticks, with two grilled potatoes. We ordered, 3 drinks which consisted of the following, two glasses of red wine and one sparkling water.

After 30 minutes of waiting for our food, we asked our waitress, how long the food would be? She replied,” we are busy”. During this time another waiter walked past us, he was throwing hand gestures (signalling to his colleagues as to where our food was), he told us the food would be out in five minutes.

It’s was 21:30 at this point, no food. Understandably, we asked for the manager, when we informed him of the situation, he said sorry we are busy. (there were a few very small occupied tables at the restaurant and they sat after us, but were served food before us).

Finally, at 22:00, our food was served. The cheeseburger first (no sign of any other food for 10mins) then the chicken fingers and the two potatoes. The potatoes were covered in cheese sauce (we never asked for this) and the cheeseburger was blue in the middle. We were told this was normal (beef cannot be consumed blue).

At this point we were starving and just wanted to leave, so we asked the waitress for the bill ( for our drinks) and informed her of the issues and that we would be leaving. She told her colleagues. And after 10 seconds we were surrounded by five men.

Our waitress said that they would and I quote “ take care of the drinks” , so we proceeded to walk out.

We were about 400 feet from the restaurant, when we heard footsteps running behind us (this was the 5 men) one of them (glasses, mid 50s, black + grey hair) approached us, he then proceeded to grab one of us by the neck while screaming “you will pay” . We informed him not to ever put his hands on us and explained what the waitress had said, to which he kept repeating in an aggressive tone ( leaning into our faces) “you will pay” .

We were very upset at this point, and told them to move out of our way and not to touch us. They said they didn’t touch us and they could “back each other up” and if we didn’t pay the €8.00 they would ring the police.

We paid for our drinks and they hurled abuse at us after on the street.

Had to most amazing T bone here! Walked past and my girlfriend told me some of the people that came here dined twice so must have been good. Popped in and seated immediately. Asked for a two steaks - one sirloin and one rump one for my girlfriend- Waiter advised that a single 1kg/35oz Salamanca grown Charra T bone would be cheaper. My Girlfriend only likes her steak well done and i like mine medium rare.

Waiter said this would not be a problem as it was possible to have a single steak both Medium rare and well done.

I was very afraid as i was concerned that the steak would be medium rare and my girlfriend upset.

Alas it didn't come out as expected - but in a good way - it came medium rare (maybe just a tad too rare for me) with a charcoal grille to take it from medium rare to well done.

It was an amazing experience that accommodated both of us, and we both thought it was the best steak we've ever had.

The robot busboy is also fascinating and the waiters comical reaction as they're fed up with the Robot busboy bumping into things and people.

Sides aren't included, and you would probably share one between two people if you get the larger steaks.

Had an amazing little cheesecake for desert, which was perfectly fruity.

Got some lovely local beers on tap too.

10/10 Would definitely come all the way back to Spain just to...

Recently visited, I actually went out of my way to sample this place as it has great reviews. The choice of steak is great & varied. The restaurant looks very clean and looked after. I particularly liked the method in which they cook the meat over hot embers 👌🏻……obviously this is my own personal experience of this restaurant.

I interacted with three staff members and found two of them rude. I ordered a steak “medium” and it came “rare”..that didn’t really put me off to be honest, on occasion I do have it to is way but it wasn’t what I asked for and I had to wait plenty of time to get it (it could have been cremated it the time it took to receive it) I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the steak either to be honest, there seemed to be a excessive amount of connective tissue running through the meat which I really struggled to cut around/through with the blunt steak knife.

The real upsetting part of my experience was when the two rude staff were covering their mouths with a menu so not to be seen making snide remarks about a disabled girl also eating in the restaurant with her mother because she was making a few noises which certainly weren’t bothering any other customers. It looked like they were a couple, possibly the owners.
