Cafe 53 — Restaurant in Jūrmala

Yesterday me, my husband and our kid wanted to visit your restaurant at night, something around 21 pm . We entered through a gate that was OPEN. There was no sign outside that the restaurant was closed because many customers and lack of employees. We saw a table that was empty and we sat down and waited for the menus. After waiting for 20 minutes (in outside with a child) i decided to go and ask for the menus. So i asked the waiter for the menus and she looked straight to my eyes and said “ YOU JUST OPENED THE GATE AND CAME IN ALTHOUGH I CLOSED THE GATE . WHAT GIVES YOU PREMISSION TO OPEN THE GATE WHEN I CLOSED IT? YOU CAN’T JUST COME IN HERE AND TAKE A SEAT WHEN I CLOSED THE GATE” .The waitress was furious and blamed me for coming in to your restaurant. Although the gate was open and WE HAD NO IDEA THAT WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO COME INSIDE. The other waitress came to apologise and said that there were nothing personal and that she can serve us. We were shocked and we decided not to stay and we left to another restaurant. We are still in awe how can one waitress be so rude to customers. I will not recommend your...

Firstly, I ordered 3 pizzas. Not only was I certain that my order would be made correctly, but also asked the server to double check it. Hardly had the food arrived which was in fact great, when I realised that it consisted of 2 pizzas instead of 3. Despite trying to explain the situation to the server, she was unacceptably rude, stating that I only ordered 2 pizzas. On top of that, she did not try to help and discouraged me from reordering since it would take another 40 minutes to get my food. Since I was in a hurry, I declined and accepted my fate.

I trust that you will not disregard this complaint. Therefore I hope this establishment improves its customer service, hospitality and kindness for a better reputation.

The place looks promising but its definetley deceiving. First of all when we came in we were told there wasn’t any menus available at the moment and had to wait for abou 10-15 mins just to pick something to eat. We ordered two pizzas and they were awful. We also had to wait for them for about 45 mins. More over The dough was definetley something u can buy yourself from the grocery store. There wasn’t even marinanara sauce on the pizza , they just put tomatoe slices all over. One of our pizzas was hawaii pizza - the chicken was horrific, couldnt eat that. The cheese is basic cheese from the store and there was probably the whole brick of it on each pizza. Could not even finish mine because of how fatty it was. Would not recommend. Wasted our time money...
