Quite disappointed about this place. First off, service was very slow, waited long for someone to take the order and then ask for the receipt. At the end, we just went to the cashier to pay and they didn't seem to be so happy about that. Food didn't taste fresh, pastries were like frozen and warmed in microwave. Pilaf was the same, we waited quite a bit and it was roughly mild, not even hot. Bought some dumplings and pastries with lamb and veal filling, they didn't taste like lamb or veal, just heavy herbal seasoning and probably some mixed meat. Nice restaurant on the lively Joma Street. Location is very good. Food is good, but nothing that could be underlined. Service is OK (seemed just a little bit tired and demotivated. Probably it would be very good service, if there would be enough staff and not so busy days). It is great to see that the service staff speaks so many languages (this is a very, very valuable skill in the service industries). Our waiting time was extremely long - long time until we got the menu, long time until we could order and long time until the food...

So we did get a resevation before our arrival, but the waiting time was at minimum 1hour, and weirdly there wasn't a lot of people dining in or takeaway. As we had gift card, we stayed. The food was ok, nothing exeptional...Plov was oily, fish was dry, uigyr dish wasn't as described in the menu. The waiters didn't speak latvian, but I assume they where not from Latvia, so that's ok.
