I tried the poulet frites, its still good but used to be much better before. The sauce tastes different and more like a regular creme fresh. Its served with fries and a side salad, so the price is good in terms of the quantity and compared to other places. The music is a bit too loud, but the place itself is super cozy as always. We had to ask for change after paying like 4 times which seemed weird because the service was always good before. The staff are still super friendly, would recommend for dinner with friends, family or a date.

Cross the Alleyway, take the right turn and walk into the Parisian bistro. Couqley has secured its place a long time ago in the french cuisine scene, placing the barre high with a menu carefully selected by its Chef Alexis Couquelet. We enjoyed our evening despite some disturbances with lovely company sharing good food in a homey warm ambiance. Roy was very sweet catering our requests, with some delays that were overlooked as attentive as he was! The bread basket comes wrapped with a cloth to kept tender and warm; comforting carbs are always welcome! My lemon juice with the sparkling water was hard to get! It took me few reminders to any waiter my eyes laid on before getting it:p We ordered: - All time famous Steak and frites, cooked "à point" coated with a creamy sauce and accompanied with crunchy fries - Filet de boeuf: - Tartare de saumon: with reduced oil, as per my request. I loved how it comes without an avocado base but with peppercorn and chives, Light and fresh as you would want it.

On Valentine's Day, we dined at Couqley, opting for a set menu priced at $85 per couple. The package included: - A half bottle of wine. - One salad, for which we chose the Chicken Caesar, finding it to be average to good. - An entrée of Chicken Mushroom, which was very good. - Two main courses: Salmon and Poulet et Frites, both of which were good but lacked a standout quality. - A dessert of Pain Perdu, again good but not exceptional. That day, the service was slow and seemed disorganized. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite live up to the higher standards we remembered from a few years back. Nevertheless, the ambiance of the place remained pleasant.

It’s almost impossible to have a reservation by phone at the bistro as they have problems with telephone lines. We had to go there and reserve ourselves which is a big issue that the restaurant should fix asap. The service needs improvement. We did not get a complimentary bread basket with butter as other tables and our server did not take the extra glasses that were on our table. The steak frites were good but be careful that the price tag is very high and even higher than other high end places.

I used to like it so much 5 years ago. When it reopened recently, I was hoping to find it at least as it was before, and it unfortunately isn't. Food isn't as tasty, it's even more expensive and portions slightly smaller. I'm sure the French chef isn't back or at least not the same. Pain perdu lost its wow effect, caramel sauce is bof, and same goes for steak frites. Service was never so good and this hasn't changed. I would go back but not as often as before.

Great restaurant to celebrate valentine with your loved ones! We went there as couples to celebrate together. - The ambiance is very romantic! 😍 - The food is great! 😋 We ordered "Salade de Chèvre Chaud" 🥗 and "Poulet Frites".🐥 DELICIOUS DELICIOUS 🙌 (Check the picture). - The local wine was good but a bit low in alcohol! 🍷 - The price is affordable, we payed around 50$/couple. Try it soon!🤩
