I was very excited to visit this place. We went by a few times and I had to come back, hoping to get delicious cepelinai (as the name suggests cepelinai is this place's speciality). In short - I regret coming and spending money here. Don't. The long story - first encounter with staff was awful, the girl was especially rude, she talked to me in a way that I wouldn't even talk to my dog to. My husband also said another girl from staff wasn't very friendly either. Food comparing to several other places is mediocre. Cepelinai was fine, not bad but not good (a bit bland though, I had the ones with curd and there were no spices or herbs in the filling), nothing special, I have had better at a chain restaurant for the same price (and there I was met with a smile and "hello" instead of being talked to like trash for lifting a lid). I also got cold beetroot soup, which was good and a slice of traditional lithuanian dessert "tinginys", which I had not had in YEARS and was also very excited for. Unfortunately it tasted like it had been out for a week, dry and tasteless. Husband tried "kibinas" (was cold, normally this dish is served warm), soup (that was just bland) and cepelinai. His cepelinai with meat filling was good, but not worth coming for.
Toilets had spider webs all over the walls, no soap, nor hand sanitiser so it makes me wonder of the hygiene back in the kitchen.
Tables seemed clean, there weren't too many people when we came and it was easy to find a table for us with a stroller. Rather quite and nice. Another good point would be how fast you get served.
Needless to say, won't come back and won't recommend....
Read moreFood is very good and freshly made, the servers were very caring and helpful. It's self service and after you are done eating you need to leave your plate at the window and not on the table. There are many overpriced places in Palanga selling everhthing for 2-3 times it is worth. We went to many restaurants just to read the menu and not eat because it's too expensive but this place isn't one of them the prices seemed fair for a coastal city. I think businesses like this should be praised for being more honest than most of the restaurants around Palanga. I had 2 cepelinai and my friend had balandėliai with chicken soup we had 1 pepsi and 2 somersby pear flavoured alcoholic drinks and all costed 25€. (2 somersby alone costed 8€ so if you dont count those its a pretty good deal on the food, pepsi was 2.5€) I suggest you buy alcoholic drinks from shops (like Rimi or Lidl) and bring to dining places to avoid paying 3 times the...
Read moreSo many lovely places to eat in Lithuania this for sure is not one of them. They rely on being in a good location but had under cooked cold food with poor service. The staff do not care about your experience and you will hardly see them unless you force them to take your order. The most I saw the lady after showing her my meal was under cooked and my friends explained in Lithuanian was when the bill came which was over priced as the food was poor and she wanted her tip. She soon became miserable when she did not get a tip. I am happy to tip for service or even simple acknowledgment but you will not get that here. Does not matter what you order all tastes the same anyway.
If you like dealing with miserable people with poor attitudes and paying to eat rubber like food go here and you will really enjoy yourself.
Think even the bin did not...
