Vegafè — Restaurant in Vilnius

Never experienced anything like we did today!!! Found a BUG in my meal! No administrators on site! No complaints book! Admin on the phone is absolute joker!

Been at the place twice, first time visit was fine. Second visit today 09.08.2023 at around 11:55AM was last visit ever to this place! Ordered same dish for my wife and myself “Kievo Kotleta” which was coming with salad and sweet potato. After eating about half of dish I noticed a bug coming out from salad and running on my plate. Straight away called waiters and yes they apologised for this issue and removed my dish from order. I felt sick after my findings and my wife also couldn’t eat rest of her dish. I told waiter that I am not willing to pay for my wife’s dish because she felt sick same as me after seeing that bug. Waiter refused to remove my wife dish from order. I asked for administrator or manager but been told he is not here at the moment. They gave him a call and he told waiter to charge my wife meal regardless my complaint. I asked to talk with him at least via phone call and they brought me a phone with administration on the line, his name was Andrius. He started telling me nonsense that in 14 year’s experience they never had this issue and all salads are being washed properly. I asked him if he is trying to say that I brought this bug and put it on plate myself? His answer absolutely shocked me, he said -Maybe! I been forced to pay for it as I had no time to wait until police comes to deal with it.

Avoid this place as if you would face issue like mine, you will be deal with joker admin who will blame you on their fails! Walked out from Vegafe feeling sick and stressed as result of talking to...

Arrived here around 1330, place was almost empty. Ordered one food from lunch menu and a soup from regular one. Were not served food after being there for 40 minutes, while people who came after us were. No apologies from the staff. I am not sure if the off the lunch menu soup was at fault here but I do not recommend the place. Seems too pricey for the quality you are getting. Just one thing on the lunch menu was vegan. Do not get the broccoli soup, it was the blandest thing I have ever eaten and not worth the wait. There are very few places that serve quality vegan and vegetarian food in Vilnius. I had a cup of broth (2.20eur) and bhahijs (9eur) that looked like some veggie balls and lacked flavour/spice. Broth was fine, maybe more flavour could be added. Bhaji plate looked sad: too much rice and very weak salad game! for 9eur I would expect more nutricious side salad on a plate. Why I keep mentioning the price of these dishes?
