Guacamole — Restaurant in Vilnius

Something is going on here that doesn't make sense to me. I've been eating at Guacamole since 2018. It's one of the places that has been in rotation with my family because it usually is delicious and reliable. I went yesterday with my husband and ordered the grilled salmon, my fav. The dish, which comes with grilled vegetables, a grilled tortilla, and rice, arrived and I happily tucked in. Almost immediately, I noticed that the vegetables didn't taste right. At the time, I said to my husband - this tastes like gas. It was the worst on the corn, but noticeable on everything. There was a strong chemical smell and the taste was terrible. Even the salmon had this after taste. Now I'm your usual millennial - I hate confrontation and normally don't bother with negative reviews (seriously look at my review history here on Google I think it's basically all 5*). But I thought it would be sad to stop coming to a regular place and I thought the kitchen would want to know, so I decided to say something. The staff listened to me, they said the veggies smell normal to them, when really they just didn't. They didn't offer to fix the food or comp my meal (my husband's was fine, his wasn't cooked on the grill), instead giving us 5 euro off the bill when my dish cost 16. I tried to explain that I've eaten this same thing many times before and the taste wasn't right. Google suggested it could be caused by lighter fluid or match light coal. So just be aware - if something is wrong with your food, whether you're a long time customer or new, they won't make it right....

Terrible Service – Never Coming Back!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

We arrived at the restaurant, and despite being the only customers there, we had to wait 10 minutes just to place an order. After 25 more minutes, we asked about our food, only to be told it would take at least 10 more minutes—even though there was no one else in the restaurant! Meanwhile, the staff just stood around chatting instead of working.

After waiting an additional 15 minutes, we asked again, explaining that we were in a hurry and very hungry. The staff couldn’t have cared less. Instead of making an effort to speed things up, they casually suggested we take our food to go. Since we were pressed for time, we had no choice but to agree.

When our food was finally ready, one girl was sorting out our order while four others just stood there watching. No one offered to help. No smiles, no friendly service—just attitude. When we politely mentioned that we were really in a rush, the girl snappingly replied, "Don't you see I'm rushing?" Ironically, she was moving at a painfully slow pace.

This place has zero sense of customer service. The food might be decent (if you ever get it), but the staff's laziness and rudeness completely ruin the experience. Do yourself a favor and go...

We visited Guacamole as a family, craving some high-quality Mexican food, and it was my first time there. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised!

Being located inside Panorama Shopping Mall, there isn’t much of an exterior to admire, but that hardly matters—the interior more than makes up for it. They’ve transformed the space into a marvel with beautifully thought-out decorations full of character. The Mexican theme is executed with such finesse that it never feels tacky or overwhelming. Instead, it’s stylish, comfortable, and cosy.

One thing I particularly liked was the VIP tables and semi-closed seating areas, providing privacy for groups looking to enjoy their time in a more intimate setting.

Now, the food—simply extraordinary. Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The staff were highly knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and offering great recommendations. They even took the time to explain dishes we weren’t familiar with, which was a nice touch.

Service was swift and efficient, and to top it all off, we ordered churros with caramel sauce for dessert—oh my goodness! What an absolutely superb way to end the meal.
