I wish I could give this 0 stars. I have NEVER experienced such rude customer service. I walked in and a lady was blocking the sign that says cash under €10 euro. So once she finished ordering I commenced ordering an espresso and a crossiant. The lovely customer turned around just to warn me that it was cash only. I promptly told the staff member I did not have cash and to cancel my order. she had already clicked espresso on the coffee machine and she made an annoyed, loud sound and literally rolled her eyes and looks so angrily towards me I promptly left. The lovely customer pointed me towards an ATM but I explained that I was actually quite scared to go back in there as she was actually so hostile I was intimidated. The lady felt so awful she handed me cash to pay for my coffee and crossiant. I went back in there and showed the shop worked I had cash and re-ordered my espresso and crossiant. She again made an annoyed noise and literally wouldn't not look at me. She stormed to the coffee machine and out it on again and then handed my my items. I went and sat down outside. It was genuinely such a terrible crossiant it tasted like it was from a packet. Probably because I've come from France where I was blessed with amazing crossiants, but the fact I didn't finish it says enough. I drank my espresso and could not have walked away faster.
Thankyou to the lovely lady who gave me cash to get the coffee. She saved what was a terrible experience. I was actually teary because I was so taken back by just how rude the worker was. Do not go here. They do not deserve your business. The man who was working at the castle was so lovely he also saved the town for me. Thank god for...
Read moreA very nice small cafe in Vianden. I walked in and the 1st thing that caught my attention was the apple strusel and the eclairs. Had to order and try them. Initially wanted to do a takeaway and wanted to eat them when I was in the castle, it turned out the takeaway was a little too bulky because there was a cardboard like tray to put the pastries instead of just thinking they would just place into the paper bag. So I found it hard to carry and I decided to take a quick bite at the Al fresco dining area instead. It was really a joy to enjoy the pastries and the view and watching the world go by in this quaint small town. Loved the apple strusel which was very filling and the vanilla in the éclair. The size was big and value for the money. Read somewhere that the gelato is also worth the try but I didn't do so as I didn't see my favourite flavours available. A good place to drop by while visiting the...
Read moreSo, we were visiting. We walked in and the cashier lady was already mad, we could tell. We took a milkshake since the milkshakes were out and the cups were too. She got mad and said “it’s not self service”. We didn’t know since there were no signs.. so then I started speaking broken German and asking what do we do now? She lightened her mood when she heard the German and then I was able to calm the situation down and get her smiling. However, if I was not an accommodating person, that would have spiraled. This is a tourist place and we did not know. I post this so people will know, the milkshakes are not self service, even though...
