This is my first time visiting this boat noodle shop. To be honest im quite disappointed and confused at the same time. 😅
Some "dish" from the boat noodle is kinda bland. I mean really really really bland. I don't know the food is supposed to tasted like that?? I don't really know. But other "boat noodle" is ok. I think the "instant noodle" just divided into 4 pieces and each one by the four pieces go straight into a bowl of boat noodle?? 🍜🍝
The pad thai was ok though. I think its ok and good enough considering its price. The fried rice? Is ok. I literally dont like the "lemau" of the "keropok" even though it was priced closed to rm20? 💀💸
Waiting time is ok because there's a lot of people during lunch during weekdays. ⏰
The staff were also fine. They looked very tired because of the workforce they had to do? So that's probably why my boat noodle tasted like that?? I don't really know though, just my personal opinion. But the most important thing they didn't scold you or being rude towards you. They just come to your place to take the order that were written and then blah. Just like that. 🧑💼
The macha is fine. Its more like instant 3 in 1 green tea packaging (duh obviously) . But yea, nothing special i guess- just taste it by yourself whether you like it or not. For me it just ok i mean with a ton of ice. Literally. 🍵🧊😒
In conclusion, just an ok experience. I probably wont repeat again near future but if i missed the "bland" noodle? I would visit it again in the future 😄
Im sorry if this review offended the owner of this restaurant or other people. This review is my 100% personal opinion and what I've experienced inside the...
Read moreI haven't eaten at the famous boat noodle restaurant for about 8 years. And back then they only have the boat noodles, some simple appetizers and desserts. That's it. Fast forward to now, I can see they added more dishes, to provide more variety.
So I just tried it again at this branch in Melawati Mall. Didn't know what to expect but I definitely ordered the boat noodle, just 1, the thick soup type. My fiance ordered another type of boat noodle. I have to say the taste is still how I remember it. Only that it's not served as hot but taste is good.
What's more surprising is the other dishes which was the Pad Thai and the Lava Egg Krapow. Both of these dishes were actually quite tasty 👌 I would definitely come again just to eat these 2 things. And the boat noodles, I would also order it again but will add few more bowls for complete satisfaction.
I'm actually okay with the food at boat noodle again. Just hoping next time the boat noodle soup would be served hotter than what I got recently. Overall, a good dinner for both...
Read moreArrived around 6.20pm on a weekday. Queue just started to build up. Got seated after 5-10 min of waiting.
The serving of the boat noodles were delayed by almost half hour and the noodles arrived clumped & sticky, requiring effort to seperate them to ensure that it is fully soaked in the soup. After a few minutes of soaking, its good to slurp and chow down.
Side dishes variety quite limited. Mostly deep-fried.
Chatujak Lava Toast (desert) is supper yummy delicious. Very sweet though.
Thai milk tea drink was served in stainless steel tumbler. Took superb long for the ice cubes to melt (was eagerly waiting for it to melt and dilute the super sweet milk tea hehe..). At least the drink was kept chill throughout 1 hour+ dining.
Spent ard RM 123...
