San Francisco Coffee Melawati Mall — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

My family has been a regular at Melawati Mall San Francisco Coffee some time back, and they recently decided to head there today morning to have some coffee and pastries. Below are the list of events that unfolded:

1. They reached at about 10AM in the morning, and followed all proper SOP, scanned MySejahtera and the temperature, and headed to sit down. Once they sat, the staffs at the counter were pointing fingers towards my family, talking about something, and shaking their heads, all this while there were other customers at the cashier. This is extremely embarrassing and I do not find it okay that your employees humiliate your customers like this.

2. After a while, an employee of yours (older woman wearing black tudung) approached and in an extremely rude tone, asked us "Dah scan ke belum? Mana, nak tengok". When my family politely showed her their MySejahtera, she again rudely said "Lain kali kena tunggu kat luar. Mana boleh duduk terus". Now, if this is your standard procedure, you should place a barricade at the entrance, or place a staff at the entrance, or the least you could do is put a note asking customers to wait to be seated. That is not any way to talk to your customers. We are paying for the service.

3. When we queued up to make our order, we saw cockroaches walking on top of your pastries. Yes, cockroaches, on the pastries, alive and walking. This was in the morning, and makes me question the hygiene level of your store, and all your stores to be honest. If you have doubts, go ahead and check your CCTV. And you can see your staff removing the plate after we inform them. But what if we did not notice? You expect your customers to eat food that had cockroaches walk on them? That is disgusting. We decided to walk out of the store...

I have submitted my review on their FB page but I have no idea why it's not showing and I'm really triggered now. So basically, I found a baby cockroach in my Hazelnut Iced Latte today. I discovered it when I was nearly done with my beverage as I was driving. It's my first ever visit to this outlet and I don't think I'll ever revisit again. If the management sees this, hopefully they do, I really appreciate if you'd do a proper cleanliness inspection to avoid such thing from happening again.
