TERRIBLE SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE.. Was shooed away just after 1 hour of sitting in the restaurant while waiting for a business meeting.Ordered prawn briyani..there was like 6 pieces of small sized prawn ,masala thosai.kesari.lassi and 2x masala tea..and still get asked to leave by the manager of the restaurant because apparently I was sitting there too long..while there were many other empty tables...and I didn't spend rm50 + alone to sit and eat in a rush n leave in 30mins..food is very very average tasting.nothing great. Also the manager can interrogate a customer..yes interoggate personal matters like why I was here.ehat meeting im having.where I'm staying.who I'm meeting..like he was a police and I was obliged to answer..???? Is this the type of conversation any restaurant staff should be having with a customer? I felt utterly uncomfortable and offended. ALSO NOT FORGETTING TO MENTION..THE RUDE MANAGER / restaurant staff was eyeballing and staring at me just after 20-30min of being there .YOU DONT STARE AT CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT..even after me noticing him staring he continues staring..and 15mins later walks over and asks me to leave....very pathetic and disrespectful. if I spent another hour here I would have spent more.unfortunately I was asked to leave .never returning here.and making sure anybody I know will never come here either.good luck to...
Read moreIt’s my first time to these restaurants, the Tea and Bru Coffee was not bad. We ordered Ghee Tosai which was not up to what we always have in an Indian restaurant.
We ordered A set of Poori which should come with Potato Masala as a side dish.. when I ask the staff will there be potato’s serve with the poori she mentioned yes it will… when the poori arrive my plate was only 2 poori and chutney and sambar. When I ask the staff she said the potato is inside the poori which was so weird like never had eaten poori with potatoes stuffing, after checking in the poori there was no potatoes inside and when I questioned the staff again Owhhh the chef said potatoes finish which I feel was very bad service she just had to lie to the customer saying there is potatoes stuffing inside the poori whereas normally poori will not be served like that. She just walked away after saying it.
Very disappointing with the service where staffs are not even coming back to inform the customer after the order has been taken if it’s okay to proceed with the same menu if the side dishes for the menu we ordered is finished.
Never going again, due the dull space and staffs who are not sincere enough with their customers. They didn’t reduce the price for the food that didn’t come with its...

If you’re looking for an authentic and delicious South Indian dining experience, Chennai Recipes is a must-visit! From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes fills the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal.
So, Ben, Arianna and me started with a traditional banana leaf meal, a vibrant spread of flavorful rice, curries, and sides. The plain briyani was aromatic and well-seasoned, pairing beautifully with the rich pumpkin and fresh greens. The crispy papadum added a delightful crunch, while the Mooru was a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors.
The chicken 65 was an absolute highlight—perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside, and tender inside, topped with sliced onions for an extra zing. It was a great companion to the meal.
The crispy onion pakoras were another standout! These deep-fried delights had a satisfying crunch with just the right amount of spice, making them the ideal snack or appetizer.
With its bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and authentic South Indian touch, Chennai Recipes delivers an incredible dining experience. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or a quick snack, this place has something for every mood. Highly recommended!
