The Bean café — Restaurant in Borneo

I was wondering if you guys have a basic SOP & guidelines for staff training? Because the customer service definitely not up par as compared to last year I came here. Everything was smooth back then from order taking, confirming orders, payment, and serving.

But when I return on the same night hour for some supper drinks, the ordering was quite the yikes - wrong order, i felt like what i want wasnt understood well, and although i prefer they refund me in QR (i paid QR) but it's okay i dont really wanna stall further so i accept the cash refund (it was a small ringgit refund) instead haha

But yeah overall the customer service definitely wasnt as smooth as it was before. It happens to your Gaya Street branch as well but on evening hour (wrong order but oh well partly my fault too for not really double confirming because I trust your staffs are professionals but alas)

I love the place but I wish to see improvement...

another day another honest matcha review 🍵

i ordered their hot matcha latte and matcha croffle! the matcha latte was exactly how i like my matcha latte to be. it was frothy, not too sweet and has a strong grassy and umami flavour! but when my drink was served it was warm.. it could’ve been better if it was hot, 4.8/5 hehe :) the croffle was okay, but quite pricey. the matcha sauce was good and they weren’t greedy with the amount of toppings they put on the croffle. for me, the taste of croissant overpowered the matcha sauce which made me barely taste the matcha sauce. but it’s alright! its not bad still decent, 4/5! :)

overall, the service was good. the workers are nice and really made sure the cafe was clean! a really great place to do work/study, they have a focus lounge which was full when i was there and a very interesting concept! id definitely come back to try something...

The food is good tho was quite pricey. The mushroom soup with bread was worth it (tho was a bit salty for me) for rm 15? (forgot the exact price). The staffs were friendly and helpful. Toilet is outside, private (with key) and is clean! Love the cozy ambience and is a great place to study! Do note that there will be days where you’ll be unlucky with noisy gatherings and meetings if you do plan on coming here to study or chill. I mean u can always bring yr headphones with u. Came here for about 5 times? Just once was it fully packed at around 8-9pm (usually i will be here around 7-10pm) with noisy people. Otherwise,...
