First and last time here.
Ordered a big portion of yeemee with seafood but was served a small one with normal liao. When the correct big portion finally came, that’s when we realised the first bowl was wrong. The shop auntie then stepped in — and instead of apologising, she rudely told her staff (and basically blamed us) that we had already eaten the wrong order.
Her staff was clear that the big portion was meant for our table, yet she insisted it be sent back to the kitchen and made us feel like it was our fault. It also makes me wonder — do they actually keep the “returned” yeemee until another customer orders the same thing, or just throw it away?
So in the end, we were eating and paying for the wrong food. We weren’t asking for anything free, but shouldn’t they at least make the effort to correct the wrong order or offer a proper apology?
Honestly, how are we supposed to know the difference between small and big portions on our very first visit? The auntie kept repeating that we should “check before eating” — all the way until we paid at the counter. That really pissed us off tbh.
As for the food? Nothing special. 牛腩 came in bits and scraps instead of proper chunky cuts. This kopitiam offers different soup bases and a variety of food, but taste wise it’s just average.
Thanks for the “experience” — won’t be back. 👎
P/S:- Yes, the bill was charged correctly because I offered to pay for the wrong food served. I never asked for it to be free the moment I realised it was wrong. What frustrated us was that the auntie kept repeatedly blaming us for eating the wrong food, and I even offered to pay just to stop her from scolding the staff and going on further. Anyway, thank you for your reply, and I really hope you do improve your service for...
Read moreDined here with my family for breakfast early today, we appreciate the kind gesture from owner for not charging extra service fee for CNY. However I feel like there is some space for improvement hence this review.
We ordered 4 bowls of soup noodle, the taste is quite light, very suitable for seniors and after recovered from sickness. The taste doesn’t match up with the positive reviews I have read online, so if you are expecting the soup to have rich flavour this kopitiam might not be it for you. Both my seniors love it, so it’s fine for me.
Customer service is a bit disappointing for me, especially towards the elder. As much as I understand how frustrating it can be working in F&B, but I hope this is not the reason for you to talk rudely to a senior customer. My grandpa have hearing issue, I understand and sincerely apologies for how loud he can be at times, I don’t he mean in any bad way when he reminded you for the wrong order you delivered, but the way you react rubs me in the wrong way. We were being considerate when your senior staff took our orders, I hope you will do the same to us as customer too. I apologies once again to the young Chinese staff if my grandpa talks too loud.
Despite the not so pleasant experience we will revisit again as my grandpa quite like the food here. Once again thank you for the kind...
