Lesung — Restaurant in Borneo

Good food with bad timing and service. Went here on July 20th 2024 at 815+pm. We sent our orders via the QR around 830pm. We got our foods around 845 but the fried squid or sotong goreng tepung is missing. We wait for a while until around 855pm. Then after we saw the two groups that came after us already received all of their dishes and almost finished, we asked the waiter. The waiter asked us back what menu is missing without checking the order. Then they told us they're making it. They're more focusing observing other group of people. Then around 910pm we received the squid but everything else is already cold. The taste is good although a bit oily as Indonesian, Malaysia or Nusantara dishes are like that. We will suggest the cucur, terung sambal and the sambal hijau. When we came, most of the sambal at the buffet station...

Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere of this place. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

The food was superb and its really worth it - especially their set menus. You can't go wrong with any of their choices - since it's served together with tempe and 2 types of vegetables. The highlight of the set dish would be the tempe - perfectly fried and it has a very crispy texture, with the tempe fully coated with sweet/savoury sauce.

The sup tulang is good as well as they serve it with lots of meat - unlike other places where they serve with more bones than meat.

Food is nice to my liking. I love the ambience! They have snack on the menu. Can bring your laptop here to do your work/assignments and enjoy the good traditional music they play.

The portion is so-so personally for me. Price is okay for this type of shop....
