Sushi Mentai — Restaurant in Borneo

Ok. I have been their regular customer since 3 years ago. What I experienced today is extremely shocking and terrible. The salad served with tofu was not in a fresh condition. Indeed, the tofu was completely went bad. We tried it and feedback to them immediately. The crews came to us with unpleasant attitude and had the salad exchanged. Meanwhile, we thought of cancelling the order (traumatised), they said they were making the replacement already, let’s see if the tofu is acceptable later or not. Fair. As they were serving, they checked with us for our feedback. Nothing to emphasise here. No apologies, no discount l, nothing. Me and my husband were very displeased by their attitude. In fact, it was not the first time I raised my voice against their serving crew’s attitude. Sadly, it didnt meet our expectations. This time, it got even worse. I al not sure if the management does really care about this or not. However, you are definitely losing us as your loyal customer, not only that, we don’t think we would visit here anymore. Until today I had been a regular. I did notice that quality of food and service were dropping, but today was the last straw. Whenever the boss is around, the staff is generally very hardworking and professional.

But when he isn’t, the staff really excel at slacking, especially the lady supervisor. Instead of being standby to serve, they stand and talk among themselves whenever they can, and sometimes don’t even notice the sushi is ready at the bar.

They serve extremely terribly, it feels as if the lady supervisor walks super slow on purpose to show an attitude. I’ve given her the benefit of doubt several times and can confirm that she’s just rude and unprofessional.

Even if I can excuse the food being low par given its price, I don’t think anyone should tolerate this kind of service attitude. Disappointing, and sad...

Oh yeah about the spicy ramen, if u guys love spicy food, u probably should write 'EXTRA SPICY' at the remark box because spicy ramen isn't that spicy at all (sorry dear mentai)🙏😅 if u are the type that doesnt eat spicy food, the type that like to eat Maggi chicken, then try the shiro ramen, grand type of Maggi ayammmmm(chicken)😉 ulalaaa. I like sushi with fish roe, yesterday I don't see any of that and that makes me a bit sad and lonely with 5% disappointment (jk but nr) 😅 Good price with good food for overall btw. Hmmmm🤔 try to go there during normal days like not on the weekends, less people to enjoy the food with less noise, but unfortunately that day maybe will never come because people like sushi 🍣😏 good service andddddd... well then, that's it...
