Tung Fong Seafood Restaurant 東風海鮮飯店 (仅此一家、别无分号） — Restaurant in Borneo

Went there around 7pm, didn't satisfied with the waiter who served us. Asked for the menu, they asked us just to look for the board. We were still ok with that, then they told us left two types of fish, we simply ordered 1, then ordered fried prawn and pepper salt sotong, and 1 vegetable for 5 pax. The first disappointment was the prawn served to us, IT WAS JUST A FLOUR COATED PRAWN! And the prawns were totally not fresh, taste super weird when put into mouth. Then the fish got no taste at all and served cold. Sotong was heavily coated with flour and salt, over fried. The vegetable is nothing nice to eat too, simply cooked. The only good thing is the rice is soft enough, the most edible food on the table. The worst experience is, the prawn cost RM 65 for super terrible taste, and the cashier said if you are not satisfied you should asked for refund when is served. Hello come on, who asked for refund when u haven't eat the food? If i know i can refund, i will ask for refund for all dishes. Not...

Pros: We always come here for lunch when we visit KK, the food is still good. Not too salty & too oily, just how we like it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Price wise is acceptable If you don't come during peak hours, can find parking space & seating.

Cons: Service provided by the waiter & waitress this time is quite awful. It wasn't this bad the last time we visited, but this time I must comment already. The waiter taking our order refuses to talk, only nodded his head with a long sour face. Ok it's puasa month so I understand he is fasting & in a horrible mood. After that when our food arrived my set of cutlery was missing so I walked towards the young thin Malay waitress & requested for it. She rolled her eyes at me & handed me the box of cutleries like I owe her money. Wow no wonder there are many bad reviews about the service here, experienced it myself already....

If your waitress is the big chinese lady, be prepared to sound like she's scolding you when you're taking order. Macam bawa bergaduh pun ada 😅 Not a good first impression at first.

Last time my personal favorite is their tomatoes soup based with fried fish fillet + Konlou Mee. This time, I'm getting disappointed with their services.. As not everyday there's fish fillet. Is depending on your luck to dine in. Someday just fish head.. Someday no fish at all 😅 Why open the shop when not all fish part available?
