BISTRO HALIA NASI KANDAR – My New Favourite in Penang!

Located in the heart of George Town, Bistro Halia has quickly become my top pick for nasi kandar in Penang. I truly enjoyed the cosy ambiance, especially the lovely window view that made the dining experience even more pleasant. Cleanliness and hygiene are a priority for me, and I was impressed by how neat and welcoming the place was.

I had the pleasure of being introduced to some signature dishes by the boss himself — the kambing kurma, bawang telur omelette, and the fried okra. Each one was absolutely delicious! The okra, in particular, was perfectly cooked and not oily at all — a must-have side dish to complement your nasi kandar.

I often patron to this almost hidden spot from the busy traffic. Other than the goreng stuff, the rest is pretty tip top. It’s my first time having murtabak ayam that is crunchy on top and juicy inside. Two layers of stuffing wrapped with telur goreng - it’s da bomb! If you like crunchy roti canai, this is the place. Nasi kandar aint too bad too.

Drinks - ask for kurang manis, they really do the kurang manis version. Love it!

The place is a little stuffed with cooking oil smell so it’s not ideal for a long hangout if you get prefer...

Today i went to Bistro Halia and requested take away NESCAFE ICED then received the Nescafe iced with WEIRD TASTE(not same taste as normal nescafe) some more add on 50cents because of take away. We don't mind to pay you an extra just be honest on drink you served to other and make sure as per request. We people order based on written menu and should it's already finished or used other brand of it why don't you tell us in advance so we can choose either to proceed or...
