2 June 2024 Our choice. Steamed char siew chee cheong fun, shanghai meat dumpling, steamed taro ball, deep fried minced seafood beancurd roll, fish with century egg served with beancurd porridge. Somehow the dishes were far from delicious compared to our last visit. No longer as steamed hot during serving. The meat dumpling's skin was quite thick. The seafood beancurd roll was over fried. The porridge was bad. Too thin & too fine, and hardly much ingredients. Not recommended! We didn't enjoy our dinner.
6 months ago Restaurant is clean & well managed with helpful staff. Two of us went for lunch here within a complex which is still relatively "empty".
Picked the steamed taro ball, Shanghai juicy meat dumpling, Steamed fish ball, shredded chicken porridge, minced seafood in bean curd roll. Tie Guan yin tea to cleanse any oily food, so to speak!
The taro ball was nice. Attracted by the purple color. Only the skin had taro!! The juicy meat dumpling was ordinary, the fish ball was springy to the bite. However, the porridge was a letdown as the chicken was shredded very tiny. You won't taste any chicken with a too diluted broth. Saved by the seafood bean curd roll that was good especially the sauce & would have been excellent if not for slightly saltish (for me). This restaurant was my first experience that preserved the dim sum warm with a steamer on the table top. Thanks for the special effort! Overall it is worth a revisit as my rating for the food is 8 points upon 10. Also, it's very convenient for customers as this China restaurant is open 7am to...

Ambiance
The dim sum shop perfectly blends tradition with a touch of modernity. Its warm wooden interiors, and elegant decor create an inviting space. The overall atmosphere is vibrant yet comfortable, suitable for casual outings or family gatherings.
Food Quality
Every bite reflects precision and care. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) are impeccable, with thin, translucent skins encasing plump, flavorful shrimp. The siu mai (pork dumplings) are equally delightful, with a juicy, tender texture. The char siu bao (BBQ pork buns) offer a perfect balance of sweetness and savory, encased in a soft, pillowy bun.
Other standouts include the pan-fried turnip cakes, crispy on the outside and creamy inside, and the indulgent golden lava buns with a luscious custard filling. Each dish arrives steaming hot, showcasing vibrant flavors and top-notch ingredients.
Service
The service is as commendable as the food. Staff are attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a seamless dining experience even during peak hours. Dishes are served promptly, and the team is happy to accommodate special requests or provide recommendations.
Overall Experience

Everything we tried was splendid, but if you were to ask for my top 3 recommendations, they're: HK Chee Cheong Fun: Probably the first ever dim sum place I went to with the most generous fillings. That's right, 3 rolls of CCF cut into 3 each means there were a total of 9 🦐! This doesn't stop there, the sambal heh bee had this nice spiciness kick that goes well with the soy sauce, making each bite so satisfying! A must-try! XO Fried Carrot Cake: Freshly prepared, which means crispy on the outside and warm, soft on the inside. Char Siew Pao: I don't normally eat bao at dim sum place as they're quite filling. However you must not skip this item on the menu, mainly because the fillings are so so flavorful and aromatic. They don't skimp on the meat (expect sweet BBQ pork fillings minus the fatty parts). My mum said this was the best she tried so far.
Each table has the steamer in the middle to keep food warm in the air-conditioned restaurant. Service was 5-star; from refilling your tea cup and clearing empty plates.
The overall experience (food quality, service) more than made up for price which is a bit on the higher end of the spectrum.
Local and visitors to Penang alike, I'd surely recommend this...
