I had frequented this place, 3-4x per week, for about 2 years prior to my boycotting mid-2024. The portions are good value for sure. Though the name is deceptive and nothing like fish and chips in the UK. I believe the proprieter admitted that he's never even been to the UK, lol. So called tartar sauce, ketchup, and chilli sauce are of the cheapest and lowest quality. Our major disappointment happened when we bought a few takeaways for my family. My elder daughter experienced a sharp pain in her throat while eating. We put it down to a possible fish bone (which in itself would be totally unacceptable). So, following traditional method we tried to dislodge it by having my daughter swallow a couple bolus of rice. By next morning, my daughter still complained of great sore throat, at which time, I removed what I had thought to be a fish bone as it was slim and translucent in appearance. On closer inspection of the the "fish bone", it turned out to be a sharp piece of plastic. A piece you may get when snapping open a plastic tae away box. Feeling confident, as I have been a regular for 2 years, I shared the experience and findings with the owner the next day. However, his response was nonchalant and said in hokkien that 'bo huat' . What is the meaning of 'can't be helped' when a diner is negatively affected by a foreign object in your food??? Was tempted to approach MBPP. Since then, I have been told of other diners' experiences ranging from hair to rodent droppings found in their food. To be safe, I would keep away. Plenty of other value for money meals in...
Read moreNo its not UK. But the chicken chop is pretty dope tho. Dont order the oriental sauce tho. That one is bad. The salad / slaw was not fresh and wilted. But what can you expect from RM10? Its to cater to the people, like me, who dont wanna spend too much for western. The fish and chips was ok also. But the fried squid was rather tasteless and bland. I wanna try the spicy variety. Maybe thats better. Kopi peng was 5/5 damn good The service staff was really friendly and very attentive. Parking was rather obnoxious but if you there just to eat and go,...
Read moreExcellent and value for money in a quiet neighbourhood. We ordered grilled and deep fried chicken chops and both were surprisingly good.
Most importantly is their frying oil is changed regularly and their fried chops are not blackish like other places.
My kids said they will order again and looks like this is going to be a regular eatery for our family. There are also other food selections in the same row like Indian and also mynews store etc.
Definitely should give this a try if you have...
