Bread History (Suntech) — Restaurant in George Town

I had a very bad experience at the BreadHistory outlet. I wanted to reserve a cake and collect it the next day. However, the girl working there informed me that I couldn't reserve the cake and suggested that I walk in to the shop the next day. I thought we could reserve a cake if it was already displayed in the shop. I wasn't ordering a new one; I simply wanted to buy one from the display and collect it the next day. Despite my willingness to pay in advance, she still refused to let me buy the cake.

So, the next day when I went in, the cake I wanted was no longer available, I was disappointed because she had mentioned that the cake was a daily item available at the shop every day, yet when I arrived, it wasn't there. Despite this, I still bought a cake of a different flavor.

Then, another issue arose. I asked the girl if I could have "Happy Birthday" and a name written on the cake, but she said it couldn't be done. I thought that when purchasing a cake, it was possible to request something to be written on it. However, she insisted that it was not possible.

I hope the manager in charge of this outlet takes note of the behavior of their staff. This isn't the first time I've bought a cake from this outlet; last time, we reserved a cake one day early and collected it the next day without any issues. How come we couldn't reserve the cake this time?

I will not buy any cake from this outlet anymore. For your information, the girl is Malay and she always works in the morning and afternoon. I came to reserve the cake at 12:30 PM (13/2/2024 and 14/2/2024) I did not know her name as she did not wear any name tag.

9 o’clock open, I arrived 9 sth but all the bread havent get ready and the Malay Indian girl packaging with the plastic , I was asking the bread the right infront her but she said she haven’t wrap the plastic and I was thinking just infront of you why no u just wrap for me , and her face like you don’t want but just go ahead, it’s ok I choose others , what’s the service of her, and also when I paying the money she keeping complaining working stuff . WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. only two customers at the counter. Me and a malay lady, they were talking about cake to her. The cashier was free and went to the washroom while i waiting there. He went to tue washroom and didnt even bother to wash his hands, straight up came to the counter, stood there for 2mins straight and tiday dilayan langsung. Worse experience ever. Such a small outlet with reasonable customers, whats so hard. I’m a regular customer to bread history but mainly at the gurney plaza outlet. these people should learn one or two from that outlet.
