The food quality was average. However, the man preparing the noodles was extremely rude and impatient. I saw how he treated the lady before me—she ended up with just plain noodle soup.
When it was my turn, I told him which noodles and soup base I wanted. He then asked impatiently, “Anything else?” I didn’t understand what he meant, so I said no. He repeated even more annoyed, “Anything else???” I still didn’t get it. When I saw him boiling only the noodles, I finally realized that “anything else” was his way of asking about toppings. I quickly said, “Oh, please add everything.” He paused, stared at me, then tossed everything into the bowl and slammed it on the counter.
He could have simply clarified by asking, “Which toppings would you like to add?” Funny how he didn’t even bother to point at the toppings, just barked, “Anything else???”
Yes, I understand he might have had a rough day—but instead of managing it professionally, he took it out on every customer, making the experience awkward and unpleasant.

Read moreWhat i love about hotel stays …….. “the breakfast”! So my review would solely be for breakfast as i do not have the opportunity yet to try other meals.
Lots of variety spread. With Shangrila circle you get 20% off from the price. Love that they change the fresh fruit juice daily. They have this cute stall to serve kopi tarik and teh tarik. However the kopi tarik was a little too sweet for my liking. The egg station serves all kinds of eggs. Main spread were decent, they have packets nasi lemak as well as the sccop it yourself kind. What attracts me here is the kid’s corner. With low serving table and warm chocolate milk. I tried the chocolate milk, its very much the milk powder kind. One thing for sure, they need to improve their dim sum selection ASAP!
Service wise… staff here were fantastic. All of them were helpful and polite. The ‘supervisor’ which is the bald one…. He is super friendly. Very kind and polite, looking at him handling customers….. even the “difficult” one 😅. I don’t fancy the breakfast ambassador though. She had a different vibe.
Being a breakfast place, garden cafe is huge with lots of seatings. It’s fine in the morning but kinda warm...
