Yahong Art Gallery — Attraction in George Town

This is one of the oldest family run art gallery in Penang showcasing the original artworks by Chuah Thean Teng and sons. Chuah Thean Teng was the pioneer of batik painting in fine art form and his sons have continued his legacy by taking this artform and developing it in their own styles. Their paintings are collected internationally by private collectors and museums. This gallery is worth visiting if you are an art lover and would like to learn more about the history of Malaysian art and batik painting in particular.
