This restaurant survives on tourists, who i guess are happy whatever you give them. Food is very average. Service is absolutely terrible.
The first time I went, it was quiet, and only a very young child was serving. He did a relatively good job.
But the second time I went, it was busier. So the 'grown-ups' were in charge. Service was desperately bad. At one point I was going to order another fruit juice, but despite waving, no one came, so I gave up.
Then I thought I would get some ice cream. Again after a long delay, one of the staff did come. He tried to take my order. But it was too complicated (TWO SCOOPS OF ICE CREAM). He asked I get another member of staff to help. I gave up.
So I tried to get the bill. After an even longer delay, someone came. He indicated he would get the bill. He never came back.
In the end, after asking three more times, with a long delay between each failed request. I gave up. I went to the counter where the staff were shouting at each other.
Finally I got the bill and paid the money. But although I was standing right next to the cash till, the member of staff did not give me my change and rushed off to do something more important. It took shouting to get my change and finally escape from this terrible restaurant.
If you are a naive tourist, please walk a little further. There are a dozen nicer places further down the road. If you are a local, well, I guess you know...

Normally I eat to survive, and not survive to eat. This place is terrible by all standards.
For context, I am local and am very shocked and "sedih" at the abhorent quality of this particular F&B; that could serve this microwaved like "SATAY" after 40 minutes wait (which honestly I didn't mind waiting, as I understand kitchen operations often comes along its struggles.). Though really? You throwing the entire Malaysian food joy culture of satay into the microwave??? There's zero charring on it which is typical.
Now moving on to the next appalling complaint which I think deserves authority visits, child labor (although I may understand may be a family business), I had complaints and not one single adult could come forward to address it. I could no longer tolerate this farce, I just paid off the beer which I actually drank, and could not be bothered with the satay that did arrive, and the remaining orders that have yet to arrive.

Read moreA charming place run by a large family with big personalities. Simple & cosy layout located along Ferringhi street. Clean, bright & airy. Pricing is reasonable for the area. We came by as it was located beside our resort.
They have a huge menu of Chinese & Western dishes. We ordered salted fish fried rice & sambal sweet potato leaves to share. Good portions. Fried rice was packed with ingredients. Nice wok hei & good amount of salted fish. The potato leaves were also good with the right amount of spiciness which was addictive.
Drinks wise we tried their juices which they also sell from a stand out front. We ordered mango & star fruit. Both were made fresh & were really good. No artificial flavoring. Very refreshing.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner. From the food to the kids running the show. Definitely worth a...
