We were 4 people arrived at 8.00pm and left at 9.15. We had 6 drinks totally. I think for this time period it's ok. The manager/management instructed the staffs to clear all/every empty glasses on the table. I know exactly what this means. This is to signal to the customers, that you don't have anything to drink. Order again!!! Make sales!!And to make customers feel bad/uncomfortable not to have anything to drink. Sitting there at an empty table. POV: This is a bad and wrong way to do it. It's disgusting. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. You should ask the customers politely(with appropriate interval), whether they would like to have another drink.(Without clearing the table) Of course if there are lots of plates and glasses (you should clear them BUT leave one glass for each customer even if there are empty). If a customer wants to reorder, he will do so without you implying such "manners". Just my point of view

You asked me which outlet? I think Ferringhi Bay/Ferringhi Heart. It was the one with DJ and Fire show. I myself, owned a restaurant and i instructed my staffs...NEVER EVER clear the table until nothing is left on the table. ALWAYS leave 1 glass per customer, so that it wouldnt look awkward, and the customer feels that they must order something. By all means ask the customer politely if they would like to have another drink(its business after all), BUT not every 10 minutes! Thank you very much for answering me, and looking into the matter. Its up to you whether to do anything to do about it, after all... you know what is better for you...

Ferringhi Bay is one of those places that truly captures the beauty and charm of Penang’s coastline. Located right along the beach, it offers breathtaking views of the sea that make you want to slow down and enjoy every moment. Whether you visit during the day for a sunny, tropical atmosphere or in the evening when the sky glows with sunset colors, the scenery is unforgettable. The beach itself is clean and inviting, making it perfect for a stroll before or after your meal.

The restaurant here is another highlight. The menu offers a wide range of local seafood and international favorites, all prepared with fresh ingredients. The portions are generous and the flavors are satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes—they tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned, giving you that real coastal dining experience. The drinks menu also has a good variety, from refreshing cocktails to fresh juices, making it a great spot to relax with friends or family.

What really stood out to me, beyond the food and view, was the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a casual yet comfortable vibe. You never feel rushed; instead, you feel encouraged to sit back, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the surroundings. Ferringhi Bay is not just a restaurant, but a place where you can make lasting memories, whether you’re visiting Penang for the first time or returning to your favorite spots. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to combine great food, friendly service, and stunning...

Nothing to do during the weekend?

This is the right spot!

You just need to drive into the car park then your weekend will be well spent in the car park. It took us more than an hour just to get out from the car park while the dinner there only took us like 40 minutes.

Not sure what the management is thinking while designing the car park, probably they thought it’s a good idea for all of us to stuck at the same spot while enjoying the view of their wonderful container made shop lots and praising them on their wonderful business sense. Oh! It is also a perfect place to train your patience while you get to spend an hour in the car park! You get to see all the car figuring out how to cut your queues because the management did not design the exit of the car park well, or maybe too well because that’s their intention. Pretty sure I’m quite near to reaching and attaining zen after visiting this highly rated spot.

Hail the management and thanks for making my weekend so fulfilling in the car park. Thanks for the wonderful one hour plus in the car park. Your car park is so cool! So cool until I would recommend everyone to go if they got the time. Perfect!

Hope you can see this and make us spend more time in the car...

Please set your expectations accordingly: despite of being on Andaman sea, and proximity of Thailand that beach has nothing to do with any of it. Beach like a beach- probably the biggest and longest on the island, water color is not encouraging for swimming- it’s far away from crystal clear, and have a lot of garbage inside. Beach is tourist attraction and has everything what is related to it: water sports (loud water jets), paragliding, fire shows etc. Do not expect to have peaceful, romantic sunset, as it will be enriched by smell of gasoline/oil, or sound of waterjets and plenty of people . Food at restaurants is an average 10-15RM higher than apart of beach. Grab from George Town can cost 18-78RM- depends on time and consumption. Trip can take ages, as traffic is enormous. Travel time may vary from 35-60mins (18kms) If you’re Italian, think twice before reading menu from beach restaurants, as they’re offering variations about carbonara (turkey ham and cream)or aglio olio (with backed salmon and side salad) can make your heart broken. Nice to visit, but when skipping- you don’t lose anything.

It was over-hyped and not worth the visit for me personally. There were few proper restaurants for dining, and many stalls offered similar drinks and snacks. The food options were not vegetarian-friendly. There's nothing particularly special aside from the beach. Parking costs RM5 per entry, which isn't worth it since there's not much to do to kill time. This might be a good spot for a sunset view, but the day I went was a cloudy day. I ended up leaving within half an hour after checking out all the food kiosks and limited choices of restaurants. None of them provide vegetarian friendly food. The container shops/stalls were reminiscent of Cubopark @ Chusan. Good for one-time check-in but to get repeat customers, it needs to have something unique to attract repeat visitors. Maybe this place is still new, hopefully there will be more new attractions in the future to justify the long drive for most Penangites who are not staying at the north of the island.
