Nice little middle eastern restaurant with great food and excellent service. Had the Mandy Lamb, which was served with rice and lamb soup (I put some of the lamb soup on the rice to add a bit more flavor). The lamb was nice and tender (it looked dry when it came, but it wasn't). The lentil soup was also very nice, maybe a tad bit too salty for my taste.
For dessert, I had the Kunafa which is very nice. It's a Turkish dessert with spun kunafa (filo) pastry, cheese, clotted cream and powdered pistachio (also comes with heated syrup, but I think may be a bit too sweet if you add the syrup, at least too sweet for me - note that I generally find Indian and middle eastern desserts, like baklava, tend to be too sweet). Not also that the kunafa takes 20-25 minutes to cook, so order ahead of time if you can't wait.
For drinks, tried the Arabic and Turkish coffees, and the banana milkshake. Unfortunately Arabic coffee is not too my taste. It doesn't have a coffee taste and tested more like Chinese herbal medicine to me. The Turkish coffee was ok, tasted like coffee with spices in it. Banana milkshake was just so-so.
Have to make special note of the excellent service by the wait staff. Very polite and friendly. Do note there's only 1-2 waiters, and the cook probably takes time cook the food nicely, so do expect to have to wait a bit...

Well to start, I love this Arabic Turkish or this type of food. Of course I love this restaurant.
Reccomended by family members, I tried the zourbayn rice (lamb) , Mandy (chicken), hummus (a must for my wife).
For drinks we were having lemon juice, watermelon and Turkish coffee.
The zourbayn rice are awesome. I love the spice taste. The mix are wonderful. And this is my first time having it. While the lamb are soft and melting in the mouth.. Well for me at least.
The Mandy chicken.. I had lot of Mandy. While this one is different. The rice have the Mandy spice taste very subtle. The color are nice. While the chicken are so nice, and juicy. My kids love it too. The soup are just nice and not oily.
The hummus. The hummus are different from other that I tasted bfore. I love this one the most.
The drinks, like other restaurant.. Watermelon and lemon juice are abt the same. But the Turkish coffee are magnificent.. The taste of the coffee and spices.. Well I think I could taste some cardamom.. The sweetness is juz nice.
I will definitely visit this place again.

Read moreDuring my recent visit to Batu Ferringhi, I had the pleasure of dining at Rubin Mardini Restaurant, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best hidden gems in the area. Though the shop is small and unassuming, don’t let that fool you – the food and experience are top-notch.
We tried several dishes, and each one was bursting with authentic flavor. The Mandy Chicken and Zorbian Chicken were perfectly spiced and incredibly tender. The Magdoud Lamb was rich and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The Mix Kebab Plate offered a great variety – juicy, grilled meats with that unmistakable smoky aroma. I also really enjoyed the comforting Lentil Soup, a simple yet delicious start to the meal.
To finish off, we had Kunafa, and it was the perfect sweet ending – warm, crispy, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. 10/10🌟
The service was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel homely and genuine. If you're in Batu Ferringhi and looking for delicious Middle Eastern food in a cozy setting, Rubin Mardini is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
