The service we received here was great, the staff were friendly and attentive, they accommodated our requests and we really appreciated that. However there were some pretty concerning issues with the meals. We ordered 2 mains and 4 appetisers. The first main we ordered was a grilled mix meat plate - 65rm - I've never seen a grill restaurant microwave old meat. And serve it sloppy, running with water from the meat being cooked in the microwave and the sides falling off it. This was revolting to say the least, when you do this you have ruined the entire experience. What customer comes for old reheated food? So not ok. If it's too slow a night, don't offer foods that are too 'hard' to prepare. Secondly we ordered a Margherita pizza. Close to 40rm, this was a child size pizza. Cut into 4 pieces. Tasted great, for a pizza that was simply sauce cheese and one cherry tomato on each slice. However the size does not match the price. We ordered hummus with meat- rm21 This was nice, not the best hummus but nothing bad about it, served with pita.. the pita was warm and soft. Fattoush salad- my complaint for this is that it's not traditional fattoudh salad. It's a garden salad with store bought molasses and lots of water at the bottom.. fattoush salad contains parsley, this does not. Again wouldn't repurchase or recommend to someone looking for authentic. Falafel- rm20- this was the star of the show, tasty, hot and not reheated. Very small pieces which was surprising because falafel isn't usually this tiny but tasty. French fries- rm12 - hot and fresh, no salt but this appears to be a malaysian thing.

Overall I wouldn't come again for the food. Service was great, staff are great but the cooks or management need to work out a way to actually feed customers fresh and satisfying food. We paid almost rm200 and we ate reheated meat. How long since it had been cooked and put in a fridge ? Who knows. I understand a slow night, I've worked hospitality previously myself.. but we would never do this. Pretty unacceptable for such a nice looking establishment especially during the month of ramadan when your clients have been fasting all day and just want to relax and enjoy some good food. Thanks to the...

Disappointing Experience at Grand Lebanon Restaurant in Batu Ferringhi.

My wife and I recently visited Grand Lebanon Restaurant in Batu Ferringhi during our trip to Penang a few weeks ago. As a Lebanese individual, I was eager to indulge in the flavors of my homeland, and the restaurant's promising name and appearance seemed like a beacon of hope. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon entering, the restaurant presented a clean and inviting atmosphere, complemented by a courteous staff. Our expectations were high, but sadly, the culinary journey that followed left us deeply disappointed.

We ordered a variety of dishes, expecting the authentic taste of Lebanon, Syria, and Arabic cuisine. However, when our food arrived, it bore little resemblance to the flavors we were anticipating. Not only did the dishes lack the genuine essence of our cherished Levant cuisine, but the overall quality was subpar.

One of the most disheartening aspects was the noticeable discrepancy between the appealing descriptions on the menu and the actual taste of the food. The menu showcased a tantalizing array of dishes that, regrettably, failed to live up to their promised flavors.

Adding insult to injury, the prices at Grand Lebanon Restaurant were on the higher side. While we don't mind paying a premium for quality, it felt like we were being taken advantage of for a culinary experience that fell far short of our expectations.

It is crucial for a restaurant located in a touristic area to accurately represent the cuisine it claims to serve, especially when it comes to something as rich and diverse as Arabic food. The misrepresentation of the dishes served here not only leaves a bad taste in the mouth but also creates a negative impression of our beloved...

The food was so good the first time, we came back again for lunch! Staff remembered us and service was just as great the second time!

We ordered the same greek salad and got mango lassi and the Lamb and Chicken this time! Still so good! The chicken breast was a little dry but we sauced it so it was fine.

The restaurant atmosphere is great, the staff is wonderful and the food is even better!

Thought it would just be a cheesy restaurant but we wanted lamb so we had to try it! So glad we came in' the food was delicious!

Forgot to take pics of the lamb skewers, it melted in my mouth, it was that good'. It came with more salad and French fries. Only took pic of Greek Salad (we ordered 2 actually because we have been craving fresh greens!) it was overkill cause the skewers had salad too!

The lamb and rice was just magnificent. It was a lamb shank cut and that's how I like it, the rice was so flavorful and yummy! We also ordered the Family Naan (plain) and it was so soft and thin like roti!

We ordered way to much food and had to do take away for leftovers.

Absolutely delicious, we plan on coming back another night!

Oh one more tidbit! If you go on their Facebook and like their page and share something from their page, you get free ice cream! We both did it and got 2 ice cream! Chocolate and Strawberry- win win...

Disappointing Dining Experience – Not Worth the Price We spent RM336 here, and for that price, I expected at least the basics to be done right – but sadly, they weren’t. The table wasn’t even set when we arrived, and essentials like salt and pepper were missing. Starters (missing their dip) arrived after the mains and drinks, which already set a poor tone for the evening. The drinks were equally disappointing: Mango lassi – watery, over-iced, and lacking in mango flavour. Chocolate milkshake – tasted as if it was made by someone who has never had a proper milkshake. The food didn’t fare much better: Pasta – smothered in an excessive amount of cheese. Kebab – lacked freshness, and the sauce was unpleasant. Biryani – not a biryani at all; more like plain pilau rice with a piece of chicken on top. As someone who has had far more biryani than your average Malaysian, this was a poor imitation. Overall, for the price charged, I expected them to at least get the fundamentals right. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

This Lebanese restaurant served pretty good food, most of the dishes are delicious. the restaurant ambience is nice for diners though the tables are quite close to each other, as long as you don't speak too loud, it is perfectly fine. They have private room too, good for a gathering or big family. Though the food are delicious but the portion is just too small for the price you paid. I think their focus is more on tourists rather than locals. Oh yes, their toilet is unacceptable, very tiny toilet situated outside of the restaurant (just imagine if it is raining) and both male and female shared the same toilet just different cubicle next to each other. I wonder such a good and expensive (high price) restaurant but so stingy on the toilet, not willing to make a slightly more comfortable toilet in door. They should be able to score more stars but the facility dragged them down.
