The location is fantastic - the beach is right across the street and there are plenty of local food venues just steps away. The taxi we took from the airport didn't know where this hotel was, so be sure to have it on a map or on your phone to help them out. The rooms are fitted with a firm bed, table and stool, small dresser/wardrobe with a few hangers, hooks on the wall to hang other items and plenty of space for suitcases, packs, etc. Our room had it's own toilet, sink and shower but the shared ones also look very clean and same size as the one in our room. We also had an aircon and a window and all rooms have padlocks for when you are away. Note that the only amenities provided are a bar of soap and bedding. You must bring your own towels and shampoo, etc. This is budget accommodation so get over it or stay somewhere else if you cannot handle this. Laundry service is provided for a small fee and they also have a fridge that sells cold drinks which is perfect to take across the street to the beach. Upstairs has a lovely veranda where you can chill out - just be mindful of the other guests as the walls are quite thin. The free WIFI is another lovely perk.||||You will hear the call to prayers every morning as well as chickens, birds, and dogs starting their day. Once again, if this isn't your thing you should stay somewhere else. :) ||||Sim and Ain (the owners) are lovely and very helpful with arranging taxi's and pointing you in the right direction for whatever you need. This is their family home and business of which they have operated for many years and we found it lovely to chat with their kids and respect the rules of the house (no shoes inside, mind your noise level, etc). We will definitely...
Read moreE T Budget Guesthouse,Batu Ferringhi, was right opposite the wonderful white sand beach. It couldn't be a better location.||The family run guesthouse was wonderful. They never interferr in what your doing, but are on hand if you need helpful advice.A beautiful, warm family.I just loved staying there.I felt completely safe at all times, which is important to me as i am a solo backpacker.||The rooms are all up stairs, with shared hot water showers. They are large with queen bed, very comfortable and towel. The only thing missing in my room was hooks to hangs things on and also no furniture, but this is only my room, the others could be different.||There's a huge vehranda out the front, which looks over the ocean and great for drying your beach towel and clothes.||Lots of places on the beach to eat but you won't find a cold beer as they are all Muslim. The ones that have beer are very expensive.Your much better to buy your own at a shop on the main street just around the corner called Frandies (i think that's the name or close to it).Soon, the owner lets you use his fridge, which is great for beer, fruit, yogurt, cold water etc.||its not far to the bus stop,to take you to Georgetown.2.70rm cheap. And lots of places along the main road to eat.My absulute favourite was Power-Up restaurant.Great fresh seafood dishes, very cheap and fresh fruit, shakes and smooties.Beer is cheaper here also.||I will return as i had the best week at E.T Guesthouse.Thank you so much Soon and family for for very comfortable stay. You are the nicest family...
Read morethe owner/manager has bad manners and bad behavior. He speaks very bad words when becomes angry , and he is so much greedy. We have booked via Agoda in this ET BUDGET Guest HOUSE, and upon our arrival, we were surprised with the room in reality. There was nothing at the room, except a small table and one old bath chair without even stand to lean the back to. When we asked the owner (mr sin) an alternative and additional chair (because the room is for two persons), he replied back with a very bad response (mocking, bad words) saying that we talk, complain and ask too much. He added, if we want we should take the room with the higher rate if we want more services (remember that we are just asking for an additional simple chair and two towels). When we remind him that we just need an additional chair and two towels, he enforced us to go out of his guest house with very bad statement (fu…….etc… I do not want to say it here). We tried to talk to him nicely, but he insisted on his bad manners, so we left the place and fortunately, we found another nearby guest house called “Baba Guest House”. Luckily ,they are very nice , I do not recommend “ET BUDGET Guest HOUSE” at all. "I put 1 star to be able to post this review , otherwise staying in the street better than staying in this ET...
