This is my first time leaving a negative review, and sadly, it's used to be one of my favourites.

It was dinner time, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. Yet, we waited 15 minutes with no service at all. We ordered 6 dishes, but only 4 were served, and they came out one by one over the course of an hour – fish, chicken, tofu, and vegetables. The boss later told us he couldn't make the other 2 dishes.

To make things worse, it felt like he only chose to cook the more expensive dishes first, and completely ignored the rest. When the bill came to RM385, we were shocked. It felt like he didn't care – just served the high-priced items and skipped the rest. Same things happened to my next table .

The food quality was terrible. The chicken was still raw and bloody, which is unacceptable and unsafe.

Worse still, the owner was shouting at and even hitting his staff and purposely burn the foreigner in front of us. Only two employees were running the whole place, clearly under pressure and stress.

Sunshine Bay is no longer what it used to be. What was once a favourite is now a place I will never return to. Don’t waste your time...

My brother found this place while searching for a seafood restaurant that would be opened at noon. We travelled quite a way off because we were staying in Georgetown. The owner cum chef was a really chatty, talkative guy who continually boasted about his fresh ingredients, great cooking methods and honest pricing. Upon his recommendation we ordered An appetizer. Crab meat+egg omelette, shrimp meat cooked to be placed on a lettuce leaf, dabbled with a spoonful of sambal shrimp, wrapped and eaten with gusto. The next dish was noodles with crab For veggies, we ordered bitter gourd fried with egg Main dish is barbecued flower crabs. While the service and banter with the chef was interesting and informative, we couldn't help feeling amused that the owner/chef was trying hard to sell his offerings and cooking talents to us, encouraging us to order more food from him. The food was ok, nothing great but one thing we were very pleased about his ingredients was that his crabs were very FRESH. The total bill came up to about rm270++. We enjoyed the meal but would not return because there are SO MANY other restaurants to...

Amongst locals at Tanjung Bungah, this seafood restaurant caters to Malays, Chinese, Indian, and all races alike. Serving no pork, the food here is impeccably prepared - the fish is at its freshest, the dishes rich with flavour. My family has been frequenting this stall since for more than 18 years, and the consistency has never faltered. Prior to COVID-19, the restaurant had a full-fledged chef team with a big kitchen. Things have changed however. In coping with the difficulties of the economic crisis, Ah Huat decided to move the kitchen directly outside, running the entire show solo. This new setting has a really authentic feel, where patrons can admire the skill that is involved in Ah Huat's cooking. Teo Chew Steam Fish, Claypot fish with yam, Bittergourd with egg… These are just a fraction of his signature dishes so many locals have come to love. The delicacies here are amazing. Give it a try

Not recommended ( street food standard but sell restaurants price ) The arrogant lady boss that taking the order throw a piece of A4 paper (so call menu) for taking order. Very upset that we have 10pax but only serve 8 tea cups for the Chinese Tea. OMG asking also won’t give you the empty tea cups. The way she taking order is like expect we know all the dishes. Impatient of explaining what is that. Hello, if you unhappy to explain, please make a proper menu or self order counter for us to order. Lousy service better don’t do! Prawn- Not fresh and overpriced Squid’s- too salty and too tiny Curry Chicken- the muddy curry and been cooked several hours Touch- ill size Guinness Chicken- slightly ok Sorry this is first and last visit for this restaurant
