As a local guide, it is very important for us to share facts and truth. We will praise and give good comments when the place is good, so that it will be a guidance for other google users. On the other hand, we will share some problems in the network to hope that improvements can be done elsewhere.
This was my first visit to Syed with full anticipation and expectation, mainly attracted to the name and expectation to good food.
After the visit, I will think this will be my first and last visit to the stall. Hereby I would like to share what I experienced and what I saw: Poor hygiene and table service. We have ordered some drinks and food. One of the drink we ordered, namely ginger tea, was having the same presentation as teh tarik. To our curiosity, we had doubts if we received the correct drink served and we had called the crew to enquire if that was the correct drink. What happened next was... The crew brought back the drink to counter, sip on the drink to taste it, and confirmed it was ginger tea and served back the same cup of drink to us. WHAT the hell of service it was. Disgusting!! We complaint to another crew and he brought the drink back to inside of the kitchen. Then, he brought us another cup he claimed. Towards observation, we highly suspect it was the same cup. What would you expect if the same way of confirmation or testing happened for other food before it was served? Soft boiled eggs with shell was removed in a bowl of water of high turbidity and grayish colour..!!
Thus far, that were what I had seen and what we had experienced.
Hope improvements will be taken. As food providers, it is the responsibility to serve hygiene food to customers regardless on the nutrition facts. It had no relation to how nice a restaurant was equipped or deco. Towards food hygiene, I will not bearable towards its preparation and how the...
Read moreWent here with my wife the other night, and I think it was around 9 pm. We ordered nasi bukhari lamb and chicken, with fried eggs vegie. And the taste? It was not good and the food was served cold! I don't know what happened to Seyed Bistro. I used to come here a couple of times way before the pandemic. The bistro was known to be one of the best, apart from nasi kandar restaurant that I know of. Yes, it's very pricey, in my opinion, but it was worth it at the time. But we got here last week ago, it wasn't that good at all. We were very disappointed. The fried egg vegie was tasteless and everything else tastes very mediocre. Yet, it hurts my wallet because we felt that it was expensive with this kind of quality of food. Reading other people's comments in here that gave 5 stars, and I think I wasn't the very lucky one that night.
Would also like to add that I felt a little pity for the food server female Indon. She looks very...
Read moreThe restaurateur and owner must know their briyani is good, which is why it is highly priced. I had chicken briyani, while my company had lamb briyani but neither of us complained after chewing down all that was served in our plate, well that was until it came to paying the bill. The location of the restaurant may not be the most strategic for great views or even remotely provide great ambience but who cares about those if the food is good and the place is adequately hygienic by Malaysian standards. One thing i don't know for sure is the amount of MSG added, which could be of any amount, although surprisingly, I didn't feel thirsty like I'd almost always do after a jaw chomping session of a hefty nasi kandar meal. This could mean they didn't add much MSG or perhaps added none at all. Long story short, I'd put this as a recommended...
