Victoria Station — Restaurant in George Town

It was supposed to be a good Friday with 2 hrs lunch time with our new colleague who just newly joined our team. The worst western meal and service i ever had. Brew hot coffee is tasteless, and our canteen free coffee tastes better than this. I ordered mushrooms soup, and they gave me crab corn soup. Upon checking, the foreign waiter took the order wrongly, and i didn't insist on a replacement because i don't want the waiter's salary to get deducted or get scolded. Soup tastes very mild and very diluted. interested in ordering steak, asking the waiter what kind of beef you offer. Again, the foreign worker told me it's tenderloin. I said no...is it Australia angus beef or what is the marbeling grade?... He answered: "yaya, we got Australia...NIGERIA......".. GOSH.. Nigeria!!??? Immediately, I'm aware they don't understand me. I ask the beef type because the price is premium. On par to TGI FIRDAYS. I change my mind to order BBQ Chicken, i thought it's a real BBQ chicken, but it turn out to be a tasteless grill chicken (not seems to be marinated) and pour on with super salty BBQ sauces. I'm glad i didn't order the steak. Upon google the review here, the portion seems so small, with the same price, i can get a better steak somewhere else. Big time surprises and...

It has been quite a while since I ate at a Victoria Station (VS) outlet. Initially I was surprised that price of the crispy potato skin was so cheap (RM9.80) compared to other places. I understood why when it arrived as it was only half a potato. Most places, even VS previously, served 2 halves. Next thing I missed from the old VS was the sour cream to go with the potato skin, and the jacket potato, I might add - so no more sour cream, beef and chives on them. They had replaced it with cheese sauce, which tasted similar to what you would get at a KFC. But you go to VS for the steaks and also to eat on a "train". They excel at both. Superb. Delicious These the words come to mind after my meal here. First of all parking is easy, There's usually lots of space and there's a large parking area just next to it.

Im a little bit confused what to order at that time because it's my first time here, then i ask the waitress to suggest me something good there. And she explain in details about the taste of the food, and i decided to order Black Pepper Steak.#godblessthewaitress

The portion is quite enough for small girl like me haha😂. All well cooked, and delicious with the accompanying black pepper sauce.
