The china guy manager was super friendly to all the customers. You can clearly hear his greetings from afar (the restaurant is pretty quiet).

I gave a 3/5 stars. The fish are freshly grilled which tasted great however it is alil bit too oily for my liking. (i ordered the 2nd fish from the left menu. (Recommended by the manager)

Also, the soup lacks of flavour. It does have the color but after the server keeps refilling the soup, its bland. So we had to put in our own seasoning from the (buffet area) to match our own liking.

Our mall hopping in Johor Bahru! Located ground level of Sutera Mall, try their seabass with garlic and it was delicious! Atmosphere and ambience is clean and bright. Service was good with clear explanation and recommendation. Like the self service station with drinks, rice and dessert. We tried the pickled raddish and carrots and it was yummy!. This is my first time making a special trip to Bantiaoyao JB to try it out—and it was very, very, very disappointing. Their website clearly states they open at 10:00 AM, so I arrived at 10:03 AM, only to be told they actually open at 11:00 AM. That’s incredibly frustrating. They should update their website with the correct opening hours to avoid misleading customers and wasting people’s time.
