Booked a single room hotel, with my son. I asked for additional towel for a single room and was told I need to pay extra 20$ for it. And in the night, my son was not feeling comfortable in the room, and couldn’t sleep the whole night. He told me there’s monster in the room. And my friend also told me to change a room cos he sensed smthng while we video called. So I called the receptionist and they told me they will change but I need to come up w another reason. End up the bedsheets and pillow case were also literally dirty. Obviously housekeeping didn’t clean properly too. we change to a lower floor but instead, we are greeted by very awful strong cigarette smell. I called the receptionist and she told me will pass me an air freshener. The smell is so strong that the air freshener just make the thing worse. How could they expect someone that doesn’t like cigarette smell, and a kid to stay in a contaminated room? I went down to ask for a solution or a refund. They say no refund cos it’s booked from trip.com. So I can only stick w the 2 other rooms. The room that is “dirty” or the room that is smelly. I told her I am not taking both the rooms. They’re not going to expect my kid to sleep in a contaminated room. So she told me if not, ask me to top up to upgarde to their bigger room. The fact that they have other rooms available, couldn’t they change us over instead of having us to top up? So end up she say cannot. 1) stick to either of the 2 rooms, top up or go to trip.com to ask for refund. She said manager told her that. That I told her in this case I will be leaving the hotel. Is this their kind of service? Rated 8/10. It is already 12.42am. In the middle of the night. While I was waiting for grab to go back Singapore, she told me she have another room for us, after an hour of my request. Service recovery? Wow.. I will not...
Read moreI recently stayed at The Leverage Business Hotel in Skudai and found the experience to be a mix of positives and serious concerns.What I liked most was the location — it’s convenient and easily accessible, with food and amenities nearby. The staff at the front desk were courteous, and their service met expectations.However, the condition of the room was disappointing. The toilet bowl seat was unstable and felt like it could dislocate at any moment. There were also signs of rust and general uncleanliness, which gave the impression of poor maintenance. In terms of entertainment, the room only offered basic local TV channels with no additional options, which made it quite dull for guests staying in.The most alarming part of our stay happened on the morning of our departure. Just as we were about to head down to the lobby, we saw people — not in uniform — scan their card and enter our room without knocking. This was extremely concerning, as we had not yet checked out. It felt like a serious security breach. If housekeeping or staff are entering rooms without confirming guest check-out, it puts privacy and safety at risk.Overall, while the hotel has good service and a great location, the poor room condition and serious lapse in security need immediate attention. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve the guest experience...
Read moreIt’s 6:37 am date 01/03/25. I am frequent customer to this hotel and have always booked them for all my travels at Johor Bahru. However today I came at late 3am and I was kept seated till 5:45am. I booked the hotel using Agoda and to be fair Agoda made a mistake the room I booked and their partner company Expedia messed up the booking. I showed the hotel staff we booked a room different from what we get from him. He said he can’t do anything about it and asked me to check with Agoda which I did. Agoda tried their best and requested him to give the room we booked for and that they would sort it out later part of the day. The service staff denied saying he can’t do it and finically after I left the place while I was talking to the customer service crew he suddenly had the room we requested for but we need to pay for it and Agoda had to deal with us. This could have been done from the start. Why kept someone without sleep until 5am to give such a solution where you all along portray that you didn’t have availability of the room . Pathetic this hotel is now my blacklisted hotel and I told Agoda they should not work with such hotel who don’t value services of Agoda that also helps them drive customers. This hotel also has a very weak website where most of the time you can’t book the rooms using their website...
