Used to come to this place quite often. But last few times, it seems the quality getting from bad to worse.
Ventilation is very bad. Seems like the bbq hood is not working properly. The smoke inside the shop can get quite thick sometimes that it is hard to breathe. Sometimes...
The BBQ used to be pretty good. But it is expensive. For one portion of the bbq beef, is like RM98 if im not mistaken. If you go to the village grocer, jaya grocer or Ben independent grocer, RM98 can get you a big black angus rib eye steak. It is okay if the quality is good. But it has gotten from ok to bad to worst. When they served me the prime rib beef, it look like it was boiled. Does not even look like it was bbqed even though i saw the staff cook it on the bbq. The charcoal probably not hot enough. The beef was also as dry as cardboard. We did give feedback to the young chinese lady manager. All she can say is sorry. Oh well. I am sorry as well. The bbq spicy pork belly was okay luckily.
Side dishes were still nice. Sometimes they give free ice cold rice drink after your meal which is a nice touch.
Staff do not wear mask. Post pandemic, i think it is better to wear mask, especially if the staff is bbq-ing the meat for us. The staff always chit chat while bbq-ing our pork and beef. How much unwanted extra seasoning went into our bbq, I also dont wanna know.
Most of the staff is quite attentive and helpful.
Would I recommend? Probably not, if nothing is improved. Eat here at your own risk. Flip a coin and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreArriving at the restaurant close to its closing time, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality extended by the staff.
Despite the late hour, our food arrived promptly within 10 minutes. To our delight, the spread of side dishes was more generous than any we had experienced in Korea.
The extensive variety of food options, coupled with the abundance of side dishes, left us thoroughly satisfied. The attentive staff went above and beyond, expertly cooking and cutting the meat into bite-sized portions for our convenience.
The pork neck, cooked to perfection, boasted an incredible original flavor that was further elevated by the charcoal fire, enhancing the entire dining experience.
Equally impressive were the marinated pork ribs, bursting with flavor, and the perfectly seasoned cold noodles.
Each bite transported us back to the heart of Korean culture, evoking a sense of nostalgia and authenticity.
As a thoughtful conclusion to our meal, we were served a refreshing buckwheat rice drinkāa delightful touch that exemplified the attention to detail in their service.
Notably, we observed that the shop owner is Korean, further affirming the authenticity of our...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3rd time here. Couldn't be more disappointed. Came here first two times with my husband and on weekdays. We could easily let go of the inconveniences of waiters not being able to understand what we meant. 3rd time here. Brought my family this time round. Food tasted bland. Ordered stamboat kimchi pork rib. Soup tasted like too much water added. BBQ pork was poorly marinated. Place was crowded as per usual. But I cannot accept that side dishes that we requested to top up. NEVER CAME!!! Despite me asking the same Myanmar guy twice and a local chinese girl once. Response i got was the same - "please wait." Then they left. From then on, they just simply avoid eye contact. Everyone acted dumb. Third time will be my last for this badly managed place. One advice to the restaurant, we are not beggars asking for food in your restaurant, we are paying to eat in your restaurant. If unable to top up, then say decline. Don't ask people to wait. Make my blood boil thinking about it. At the end of the day, we finished our food and no side dish...
