Wok & Work — Restaurant in Iskandar Puteri

This restaurant is so authentic! I’m not writing this review just because of the free drink—I’m a huge foodie, so I have to make sure my review is sincere!

I’ve tried many Korean restaurants in JB, but most of them tasted horrible and used instant ingredients. However, with my first bite of every dish I ordered here, I was blown away—WOW! The flavors were authentic, and in my opinion, they even outdid some restaurants in Korea!

Their jajangmyeon and chicken tangsuyuk were a solid 10/10—texture 10/10, taste 10/10. The only shortcoming was probably the tteokbokki. It was nice, but not amazing. I visited this place for the first time around dinner time on the weekend. The environment was okay—nothing special, but it was spacious and clean. I ordered the Jjamppong + Chicken Tangsuyuk set, Stir-Fried Jajangmyeon on a stone grill, and the Chicken Wings combo set.

The Jjamppong had a good wok hei flavor and was quite refreshing, with a generous portion. The Tangsuyuk was also decent. The Stir-Fried Jajangmyeon had a large portion, but the taste was on the sweeter side for me. The Chicken Wings combo set was okay.

Overall, it was a good experience. I’ll definitely come back to try other dishes and have the Jjamppong again. If you're looking for Korean food or want to try something new, this place is...

The name “wok and work” do not do them justice. Purely out of good fortune we are at big box and we walked past this restaurant several times but the name is just not catchy enough . For one we thought it’s a fried food restaurant like fried rice (which theydo) but we have no idea that they serve Korea fusion food, or rather comfort food, as their main dishes like jjappong or jajjang mian - which are super delicious , exactly what we need to satisfy our stomachs. Perhaps a change of restaurant name or high signs at the storefront and picture of their delicious menu and this restaurant should be packed.
