We were exploring this Sunway area as it was our first time here and we were generally surprised with the general options available in this district, and eventually decided to try out this restaurant for lunch.
We were pretty hungry when we entered and decided to go for their lunch menu to save time on selection.
Overall, the cooking took a little while and though we did noticed our food was already cooked, where another patron was pre-served the same meal much earlier, it took quite a little while later for them to serve our meals, as they did make extra efforts to place garnishes made the eventual dish beautifully made.
I guess our group just thought we could have been served slightly earlier, especially we were quite hungry at that moment. And servings wise, the meats looked slightly smaller than expected.
However, despite the slightly disappointed experience, the meal did eventually fill us up and was pretty tasteful overall.
We will definitely re-visit in future and try their other dishes, as well as the full...
Read moreHad dinner here with my family. Ordered 2 mains including the diced NZ lamb, and the tori yaki-soba. Well to sum it up, most of the recent reviews here painted the place to have a very high standard of food and culinary skill, but our experience did not match up. The portions of the mains were small and the sides consisted of potatoes and kailan; and the taste of the mains’ marinated meats were nothing to shout about, very average. The yaki-soba had little chicken and even less vege; but no doubt it was fried to try to make it look presentable. (I thought yaki-soba is supposed to have lots of cabbage.) The young “chef” performing the cooking did not impress. To add some perspective, you pay a fraction of the price at the “canteen” nearby, but that place somehow manages to impress with the high quality of the simple local fare they churn out. Just want to put this down to balance it for the other people who might be reading the...
Read moreRead good reviews. So went down to try. Menu choice is limited. The presentation of teppanyaki is disappointing. Usually there will be a long plate placed in front of each diner and the chef will distribute the food portion immediately after he cooked. But for this restaurant, the food is placed on a plate with 2 side dishes (cabbage & potatoes - which are mass cooked) and served. Chef who served us started to sneeze a few times without wearing a mask. Ordered a salmon, and the skin was badly burnt that chef has to change a new one and recooked. That, we give him credits for taking his initiative to do so. Ordered for a medium doneness Ribeye, yet it was overdone. Seafood plate - 3 prawns, 3 scallop and some squids (rather miserable in terms of size and serving quantity) was not worth the price. Tried much better ones before. Disappointed with...
