I recently dined at Early Mee restaurant, and my experience was quite a mixed bag. I ordered the mee hun kuih, which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The texture was just right, and the flavors were well-balanced, making it a satisfying dish.
However, my friend ordered the Hakka pork noodle, and unfortunately, it was overly salty. She struggled to finish it, and it felt like a waste of food. We decided to bring this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a resolution, whether it be a replacement or a cancellation. To our disappointment, the server simply informed us that they would notify the kitchen, but there was no offer to rectify the situation.
This lack of service recovery was frustrating, as it left us feeling unheard and dissatisfied. While I enjoyed my dish, the overall experience was marred by the handling of my friend's issue. A restaurant should strive for customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, Early Mee fell short in this regard. I hope they can improve their service in the future, as the potential for great dining is there with their food quality.
Plus their egg tarts are not my expectations...
Read moreUpdate 24th Nov 2024 Noofles and rice still good. Pastry was a big let down. The croissant is too dry and flaky. The original cream horn is like having a ping pong cream crackers and sandwich with cream. May not come again, sorry. They are not serious with their pastry anymore.
(Old review) The pastry is super excellent. They use real butter which delighted me. The texture is just what I expected! Noodle is al-dente and well balanced but the hakka fried pork is not up to standard. The nan-ru taste is not pronounced enough. Yong Tau Fu is hakka version, very good size but the taste is still not the best that I have tried. The soup is full of flavour, but it was barely warm which is very dissapointing. We made it known to the counter lady and she gladly provide us with another hot bowl of soup. Overall, will come again for their pastry and prompt service. I hope they will survive in this extremely competitive...

I tried their Signature Hakka Series (mix and match) where you can select the type of noodles, dry or soup/curry and three sides. At RM15.90, I find it reasonable as portion was big with existing "liao" accompanying the noodles (apart from the selected sides). Spinach noodles was a bit chewy for me though. Coffee was good.
There's a self-service counter where you can pick your preferred sauce/chilli. They also serve some pastries which I didn't get to try.
If you have trouble locating the place using Waze, can use "Kopiloco @ JP Perdana". It's right beside it.
p/s: Kudos to the Thai staff who showed exemplary customer service. He was enthusiastic, efficient, and even mentioned to let him know if I need any assistance - quite a rare sight nowadays with most servers just passing you the menu and order sheet without saying...
