This pork burger joint came up on my FB feed one day and I decided to go there and give it a try. I must say I wasn't disappointed at all. No photos though, as I'm those that's not in the habit of taking pictures when comes to eating.
I had the triple bacon burger and it was two 👍👍 up. Firstly, no porky smell - that means the meat was fresh. Secondly, the meat was very well minced/pounded up that every bite was easily pulled away with no fats. Thirdly it wasn't chewy which made it easy to swallow with just a few bite. Fourthly, the meat was juicy! Absolutely love the bacon topping! The sauce (can I called it sauce) goes well with the pork patty. The bun with sesame that sandwiched the patty was just as lovely. A fluff, puffed up bread! Note - I finished every bit of my burger and 😋 my fingers clean!
My partner had the Focaccia with pulled oink-oink sandwich and I had a bite of it. Good! The bread itself was crisp on the outside and fluffy - not porous - on the inside with just a nice touch of rosemary, not overpowering. The meat was good - again easily bitten off and not stringy.
For dessert I ordered their Tiramisu. It's okay, I would say.
The bill came up to RM103.70 plus 2 drinks.
Was it expensive? Not at all. It was worth the price for such good, well-cooked meal. The burger is quite sizable that can be shared by two if you're not a big eater. Very filling indeed.
Would I visit this burger joint again? Most definitely yes but cannot go every day lah, cos' meat mah. Don't want to put on the weights!😁
Would I recommend it? Absolutely! It's very difficult to find pork burger in JB especially good much less awesome ones!
Overall experience? Very very satisfying. Left the joint with a happy smile and a contented stomach!
Again, two 👍 👍s up to this little burger/sandwich joint!❤️
P/s I ain't no food connoisseur or in anyway related to the burger joint. Just a normal customer and this is my honest...
Read moreSaw lots of good reviews on xiao hong shu, hence we came here to try their burger. From their menu, we could tell that the chef is quite experimental when it comes to their burgers. They sell very unique burgers, from mulled wine to apple pie and brandied cranberry. Not the usual conventional type of burger we normally find elsewhere. If you’re not the adventurous type, you can opt for their classic burger or their chicken confit.
The portion is huge and the patty is super juicy. They used freshly ground meat and don’t skimp on ingredients. If you ever had the opportunity to try burgers overseas like New Zealand or Australia, then the burgers here will remind you of it. Although the price is on the steeper side but you get what you pay for, so no complains.
Atmosphere wise, it has a cozy yet slightly humorous vibes with amusing names on the menu to really entertaining couplet (CNY season) plastered around the walls.
After our meal, my husband and I had a good chat with Eddie, which is the owner of this establishment. What really sets this burger joint apart was not just the food but the story shared by Eddie. He shared his journey and inspiration behind the restaurant, like wanting to introduce a different culture to the way we experience and taste burgers. Truly a meaningful conversation.
From their bold and inventive toppings, each bite reflects the chef’s goal of elevating burger into something more exciting and adventurous. So if you’re up to taste something different, then this is the place for you.
Side note: their menu is seasonal, so it’ll change from...
Read moreThis is a new burger joint in town, and I would think one of the rare few that serves pork burgers in JB. We ordered the "Elvis Favourite", the "Triple Bacon" and the basic "F-O-F" (Fillet-O-Fish I believe). The burgers were very good. The pork and beef were perfectly cooked/grilled. Not too mushy, not overdone and just nice. The fish patty was flaky, nice to the bite and tasty. We were told that it's actually Atlantic cod brought in from SG. Overall the taste were also just nice; not too overpowering in any particular departments. The only small critic that I have is the F-O-F was smothered in a bit too much "sauce" (which was made of egg mayo and homemade tartare sauce). The boss mentioned that everything here is made from scratch including the brioche buns, the sauces and of course, the patties. Environment was OK as they played music which was just nice, not overly loud but yet pleasing to the ears. Simple setup and there was even a recycled drum sofa set if you prefer to chill out. Prices are a bit on the higher side but I believe it is bcos everything is 'home-made' and the quality of ingredients were very, very good. Imho, you get what you pay for. This place is definitely a must-visit for burger lovers especially if you love your bacon! 😉 P.S. They have very...
