Nice storefront selling sundry foods with a seating area to dine-in curry rice/braised meat/noodles. Upon entering the store, the lady boss was nice when taking orders and recommending food to customers.😀 There was also a lot of customers coming in and some dabaoing too. I ordered the standard curry rice and it came with hard and clumpy rice drizzled with a bit of curry, a chicken and an egg. 1 small chunk of potato came with the curry, however, it was cold inside 🥶 Honestly the food was rather bad and just really not worth going at all if you're coming to muar as a tourist or visiting the area.

One of best hainanese restaurants i have eaten!! Must try their chicken curry. The gravy is super thick and taste damn good. Must also try their signature braised pork. The gravy is super delicious!! 😚😚😍😍. Whenever i travel south, i must drop by this place in Muar. Once you try this restaurant... omg... so yummy until im lost for words. This restaurant is very old and i think its has a legacy. They also sell otak-otak. But you must ask for it. Their otak-otak is made fresh when you order. 👍🏻👍🏻

I like this place very old school coffee cum sundry shop. My friend asked me to order the authentic Hainanese Curry Rice semua mau. To my surprise, its unique taste and thick gravy were awesome, and what I found together with my curry rice are look like curry chicken, fried chicken, otak otak, spring roll, egg, fish bean curd and nangka. We also had a few otak otak sticks, braised pork with mui choy, fish ball soup, and kokoma tea. Expect the unexpected in a curry rice.

I am local and I used to have lunch or take here, but this is my last time visiting here.

I ordered curry rice, but I got small things like spring rolls, beans, otak, banana (I don't know why there is banana inside), sambal and NO CHICKEN, NOT EVEN BONE. I asked the lady why they gave these instead of chicken which used to have 3-4 pieces of chicken. However the lady explained me that those are package and the boss forgot to take chicken due to old 🤨. I came here many times in the past few years and never heard this kind of package or written on the board.

Even though I told them and they knew that they didn't give me chicken, they didn't serve me chicken back and it was charged as usual which RM7 without any chicken 😡. I reconfirmed with the boss during the payment that I didn't get chicken but the boss still wanted to...

Honest review by a first-timer.

NOT RECOMMENDED. EXTREMELY RUDE STALL OWNER!

Food (2/5) Environment dark, hot and full of mosquitoes. (1/5) Manners (0/5)

The food was so-so. The stall owner (probably also restaurant owner) asked one of us to stay outside because we only ordered one portion and did not ordered drinks. (We came to Muar for food hunting and had other food + dessert before coming, we just wanted to have a taste of the curry chicken rice so only one portion ordered)

He was obviously unsatisfied with this and served a 2 portion curry chicken (RM12) and told us it is the 'normal' single portion, which is not true based on the photos posted from other reviews.

Dishonest, arrogant and rude. A BIG NO!
