One of the ORIGINAL Kopitiam restaurants that is still trading to this day simply because this restaurant serve only Original Kopitiam food carried over 3 generations 😱

I used to dine at this restaurant in the 1970s and 1980s when there were 3 restaurants of similar concept along this same road in Muar town. Now (2019) only this one remains & I pray the proprietor is able to carry on this tradition for future generations too 👍

ALL THE FOOD served on the menu is AAA Class food and I can assure the patrons will not be disappointed with what they choose to eat as everything is authentically 1970s tasting that you can only find in only a few restaurants in Semenanjung Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak. So whatever item you choose to order, you will enjoy very much.

However, the Signature Dishes here that you will never find elsewhere in Malaysia are CHICKEN CHOP, BEEF STEAK & SAMBAL FISH (FRIED). There is another signature dish that you can only find at this restaurant but unfortunately the proprietor admitted to me he missed the opportunity to learn from the previous generation... FRIED DRY CHILLI KING PRAWNS. Those whom has patronised this place during the 1970s & 1980s will know & remember this FRIED DRY CHILLI KING PRAWNS.

Nevertheless, you'll already be spoilt for choice every time you & family dine here.

The tables, some chairs, booth dining table (mini private dining areas) are originally from 1970s & is today exactly as how it was since those days. It's not just about the tasty food... Even the dining experience itself is already very nostalgic.

I used to dine here since I was in primary school (and so was the current proprietor/cook... He was also in primary school at that time)... Nowadays I bring my children here and they too admit that MOST eateries nowadays don't make quality, tasty & reasonably priced foods as Kedai Makan New Eastern Muar.

If anyone reading this are in Muar or plan to visit Muar, do try dining here... You're not only going to be very happy with the food but you'll also be teleported back to the 1970s while you're dining 🏆

This is a very old traditional shop which has stood the test of time. Not only does the shop stood the test of time, so does the tradition which has been passed down the future generations. Don’t expect a fancy newly decorated restaurant. Everything here is old. This place will remind you of the days when your grandparents bring you out for meals in the olden times. You will reminiscent those days again. Old is gold! Hahaha. Very old-school flavours!! Absolutely delicious!! No one can replace those memories or flavours stuck in our memory of those good old days.

Portions are big and prices are reasonable. The flavours marinated in to the hainanese chicken chop and gravy are just simply indescribable. Stepping into the shop, you will be amazed at their decorations. Photos, furniture and cooking ware stood the test of time. Just like the olden times, I get very nostalgic. Menus are simple and options are limited but what is offered are one of the best tasting meals I have ever tasted. I could only have 2 servings as the portions are big.
