Saw a promotional video from an influencer and was drawn by the attractively priced RM19.90 set lunch. Arrived a little before 12nn, which was the official opening time, and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted and ushered to a table soon after. There are a few set lunches on offer — chicken, salmon sashimi, a pan fried salmon and Saba. Unfortunately, the pan fried salmon was not available, I opted for the Saba which was available in teriyaki or shio. I went for the latter. Unsure if the set meal would be filling enough, I added the tempura moriawase which features in the regular menu and costs RM28. The service was quite prompt and polite and they were very well staffed. The food was quickly served, as it should rightfully be so as I was the 2nd patron in the restaurant. But then, it did fill up very quickly. Kudos to their promotional efforts. The tempura was served first. There were 3 pieced of shrimp, 1 slice of fish followed by the veg - okra, pumpkin, shiitake and brinjal. The batter was light and crispy and did not taste of any overly used oil. The fish and shrimp were quite fresh, and didn’t taste like they were pre-packaged. Then the main event arrived. The Saba fillet was presented in 2 halves. I coudnt quite taste the shio at first bite, but it did kick in when I tore into other parts of the flesh. I asked for a wedge of lemon to help cut down on a slight hint of fishiness. The fish was quite well grilled as it remained slightly moist inside while the skin was crisply burnt. At RM19.90, it matches what most food courts in Sg offer, albeit with some fruit thrown in and a much more pleasant ambience. That’s all I had. So, I finished lunch quickly and made a beeline...
Read moreWe saw good reviews online, so we decided to give it a try. But the result was... extremely disappointed. I wouldn’t even give it one star if I had the choice. It’s just that there’s no option to give anything lower. Don't expect fine dining service here, as the staff can't even understand Malay or English. The teppan chicken had a strong unpleasant odor, clearly the taste of frozen meat. The chawanmushi and grilled squid were extremely mediocre. The miso soup, I would say the miso paste sold at Daiso is much more better than this. The tea lacked of any aroma, it honestly felt like warm water with a few accidental drops of tea in it. The Yuzu Highball was the worst highball I’ve ever had, no taste of alcohol at all, just yuzu juice at the price of a whiskey cocktail. Throughout the entire dinner, the only thing that was remotely acceptable was the fruit. For food of this quality, the price is completely unjustified. It's unfair to your customers. We will not return, as a restaurant of this standard is simply not worth...
Read moreAn absolute gem for Japanese cuisine in JB! The interior design of this restaurant is stunning – a perfect blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern elegance. The ambiance is serene, making it an ideal spot for a casual hangout or even formal meetings.
Their chefs, trained in omakase from KL, bring unparalleled expertise to every dish. While it’s not omakase-pricing of dining, their omakase grand concept elevates the experience. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes, each bursting with authentic Japanese flavors.
I love that they have private rooms of different sizes, perfect for intimate gatherings or business meetings. This place is not just a restaurant – it’s an experience. Definitely my new go-to spot for...
